Tranquil and relaxing best describes the lovely getaway treasure. Bordered by the
fully wooded Bulls Island State Park and the Delaware River with easy access to hiking, biking, kayaking and much more. Sit on the deck and watch the river and wildlife (there is a baldheaded eagles nest nearby, lots of dear, beaver, river otter, etc.) At sunrise the sky and river have a fantastic salmon-pink hue.

Stuart was cool and very helpful! He came down to change the thermostat batteries after I’d arrived. The residence was very clean and well stocked, just as lovely as the photos had shown (albeit the dead plants outside because we came right after winter). Loved visiting Lumberville General Store for breakfast, Peddler’s Village in Lahaska and Lambertville/New Hope (both only 18 minutes away!). Beautiful riverside view as well and walking distance via towpath to Bulls Island bridge. Bedrooms are super cute!

The apartment is clean and well equipped for whatever your your adventures might lead to...and there is plenty to do in the immediate area. That said, it was tough to tear ourselves away from the beautiful view on the deck! Stuart is a phenomenal host.

Lovely first family getaway!

We brought our 11 month old on her first family weekend trip, and this place was perfect. We love New Hope and know it well, and this was a nice distance from there to accommodate naps and doing some sightseeing. Super close access to the canal trails, and the most awesome porch. We spent most of our time out there when at the rental!

We were looking for a peaceful retreat along the river we have loved for many years. River Retreat provided that for us. We biked 40 miles along the towpath. Fished near Bulls Island. My family stayed here for a wedding in newtown. What a lovely apartment! It was a rainy cooler june weekend so we didnt get to enjoy the outdoor space as much but parts of the patio/deck was covered which was great. The pingpong table and some porch areas needed a sweep but otherwise it was delightful, clean, cozy. We’d stay here again.

Beautiful location on the Delaware River. Lots of cute local browsing & shopping areas to enjoy. Great local eateries to choose from. Best part is you are right on the Delaware for waterfront views and activities! Host was great and communicated with us easily. We look forward to returning during the summer months!
