A perfectly appointed cottage on a mostly-secluded lot. Wonderful location and walking distance to an amazing general store and so much within 10 minutes that we realized our three nights could easily have been three weeks. Linda a Patrick are awesome hosts and I would recommend their place to any couple like looking to get away
The guest house is pristinely clean, beautifully decorated and delightfully comfy. We loved the breezy beachy style and the breathtaking view from the back deck. It’s a very walkable area with a charming General Store just up the quiet street and lush gardens on the water just across a huge well kept lawn.
The hosts have thought if everything v you could possibly want …and more!
We can’t wait to go back!
We had a wonderful stay at Twin Ponds guest house! The owner provided everything we could possibly require with such a nice touch. We truly appreciated all the special attention to detail that made us feel so welcomed.
Bed was comfortable, rooms were spotless, outside was well taken care of, private and peaceful, and the view beautiful. We definitely will be back!
An idyllic retreat to recover one´s energy - a perfect home in a perfect setting. And every morning, a pleasant surprise visit from a visiting heron.... Thank you to Linda and Patrick.
I highly recommend staying in this cottage if you are planning a trip around the Boothbay area. The cottage is decorated to perfection and is equipped with everything you may need. The backyard is so peaceful and beautiful.
It is also conveniently located near a quaint general store that has amazing pastries, sandwiches, and other goodies. Downtown Boothbay Harbor is a quick drive as well.
The owner, Linda, is incredibly hospitable and is quick to respond if you have a question.
We look forward to staying at this property for any of our future vacations in Maine.
Twin Ponds Guest House is the most beautifully designed and decorated cottage one can imagine. The pictures on the VRBO listing really don’t capture its elegant flow and the clever, precise way this small structure provides for every daily need and comfort. Add to that the thoughtful and generous welcome supplies provided by our hosts (including fresh fruit, a baguette, cheese and charcuterie, granola, milk and tray of sumptuous pastries) and the result is a stay which was sumptuous and unmatched among our many rental experiences. We shall return!
As a CEO of a tech company I've been blessed to have stayed at some outstanding properties in my life travels...so these comments are from that perspective. This home is truly an exceptional place with fantastic attention to detail, cleanliness, and interior/exterior decor. The furnishings are quality as is the overall construction of the home. The views are amazing and something you could create a postcard from. You feel very warm inside the home. The surrounding neighborhood is beautiful and adds to the ambience. Finally, the owners were exceptionally accommodating---honestly more than anything I've ever experienced at any VBRO. I look forward to returning to experience the Boothbay lifestyle again!
The location of the property is perfect -- in a rural setting but close to Boothbay Harbor. The property is charmingly decorated, and the snacks/goodies much appreciated. We thought it was a lovely place to celebrate our anniversary. Please note the photos of the Japanese sitting shower/tub as they are a good representation of the shower; we found it a bit difficult.
High end cottage for two in a very good location, but we did not like the bathtub/shower. Too difficult to use. Boothbay area has a lot to offer, especially the Maine Arboretum. There are EVgo electric vehicle chargers near the cottage at the Bigelow marine research facilities.
We very much enjoyed our accommodations at the Guest House in East Boothbay Harbor. It’s very beautiful, comfy and cozy and sitting on the deck overlooking the Mill Pond was very peaceful. We came in late at night and after our tour with Linda and Patrick, we munched on some of the delicious goodies that they left for us. The kitchen was well-equipped for every occasion.
The location was perfect as we enjoyed our short walk to the General Store each day to pick up breakfast. Ocean View Point is a short drive and is very picturesque when the tide is in and during the evening as the sun sets. The Guest House is by far our favorite VRBO experience.
Absolutely the best! Location quiet, comfortable,, beautiful area. The cottage is by far the best ! Amazing and with everything you could possibly need for a comfortable stay. Linda and Pat could not have been better host. We loved our stay, already planning for next year!
Wonderful experience at Twin Ponds. Thanks to Linda and Patrick for their hospitality and this beautiful peaceful spot in East Boothbay. Could not wish for anything better!
Fresh, stylish cottage in beautiful scenic setting.
My husband and I had a terrific week at the guest house. It is bright and nicely furnished. Linda and Pat greeted us with such unexpected hospitality by stocking the house with delicious snacks, baked goods and basics which was very much appreciated. The house makes you feel like you are at in lovely Inn and truly on vacation. We also enjoyed time spent on the large deck with a view of the pond and gardens.
Linda & Pat's guest house was perfect for our relaxing week away. Entire property is well maintained and very clean - also beautifully decorated! The lovely online pictures accurately reflect the property, while the outside space was more expansive than expected and the millpond was picturesque at all times of day (loved watching the ducklings!). We enjoyed spending time both inside and out. Linda & Pat were exceptional hosts - fresh flowers in the guest house from the gardens, occasional text check-ins to see if we needed anything, and - most impressive and appreciated - an arrival supply of goodies for breakfast and snacking that we enjoyed during our stay. Location is peaceful and seemingly remote, yet still a very short (5+ min) drive to many activities, shops and restaurants in the Boothbay area. The general store at the end of the street has wonderful baked goods! Highly recommend this property.
This finely appointed property is bright, beautiful and cozy. Linda and Patrick are wonderful hosts who made our stay easy and relaxing. There were beverages and snacks upon arrival which was greatly appreciated.!
First the property was over the top as far as location and the carriage house was beautiful, and equipped with everything you could possibly need for your stay. The hosts Linda and Patrick made us feel more like a guest in their home rather than renters.
Linda has done an amazing job with this property. It’s beautifully decorated and equipped. Everything that opens and shuts and more. Stylish and tranquil. Lovely setting with views. Linda was very helpful and gave us all the info we needed. We had a fantastic time. Loved it all.
The cottage was thoughtfully equipped and graciously furnished for two adults in a beautiful and serene setting. Hosts Linda and Patrick provided us with breakfast for the next day (most appreciated) and snacks to welcome us. The deck overlooks the pond so it's a wonderful spot for reading, lunching, basking in the sun. Lots of great hikes nearby, and the local general store, a short walk away, makes terrific sandwiches. We loved our time there.

I run a destination wedding, floral, event & home design company. You may have visited us in our location in Los Angeles at "Provence In The Hills" and we are now in Boothbay Harbor Maine. One of our favorite destinations for work as well as personally is Italy. Italy is like home away from home. I have always loved transforming spaces! We have now done that in our Guest House in East Boothbay Maine. We hope you come soon and enjoy your time when you book with us...it is a private oasis surrounded by four stunning bodies of water and yet in minutes you are in the midst of the harbor and all of it’s beauty and excitements. Come visit soon and I assure you that you'll be back again and again!
