Delightful carriage house in an excellent and quiet neighborhood. Very well furnished and so well equipped. The gardens are as beautiful as in the picture of the property. Close to good restaurants. We will definitely return on our next visit to the Booth at area.

I have found that staying at the Carriage House is like taking a step back in time. Linda and Patrick have created a place where I can enjoy their beautiful gardens and a view of the water from the patio. I love the beautiful rooms they have created and it seems like they have thought of everything to make sure you return soon - which I will happily do ! EH
Quiet elegant property with easy access to surrounding communities
This was a difficult review to write because there is so much to write about! We were impressed from the moment we arrived. Lovely cottage set on a huge lawn bordering on the water. We opened the door to a truly open space elegantly decorated In French country style. A comfortable living area was separated from the kitchen by a large rustic wooden table, already set, on which were fresh flowers. Three sets of french doors to the patio and lawn bring in the sun, and the cathedral ceilings make for an airy space. Beyond that is an impressive high-end range and a suite of stainless appliances. The kitchen is equipped with more cooking paraphernalia and dinnerware than one can imagine. Off the kitchen/ living area is a generously sized bedroom with a very comfortable chair and chaise. The bedroom has an en suite bathroom with a multi-mode shower. Off the bathroom is a fully equipped laundry room.
When we entered the cottage my wife said I could leave at the end of our rental, but she was staying! We spent our 55th wedding anniversary at the property and will certainly return. Strongly recommended!
The carriage house was beautifully decorated and furnished with everything you could ever need. The location was perfect - a quiet and beautiful setting. We loved sitting in the Adirondack chairs by the lake and going on walks to the dock just down the street. And the hosts were absolutely amazing - the best we've ever experienced on VRBO. Linda was very helpful with local recommendations. At one point I asked her if she knew where I could get an amazing piece of cheesecake. She said she would take care of that. And to my surprise her husband (apparently an amazing chef) had made us a delicious blueberry cheesecake. Along with the cheesecake, Linda stocked the kitchen with an assortment of pastries, donuts, and muffins as well as some delicious charcuterie. I can't imagine a more perfect place to stay when visiting Maine.
We have stayed in many nice VRBO's in Boothbay and this property was by far the nicest. The Carriage House was beautifully decorated with every amenity. The landscaping and setting was spectacular. It was peaceful, private and quiet. Linda greeted us and made us feel at home. I could go on and on. Needless to say, we look forward to returning.
This was by FAR the best VRBO we've ever stayed in. Besides being a newly renovated, gorgeous house in a beautiful setting, hosts Linda and Patrick provided so many thoughtful touches to make our stay special. Their background in event production really shows; the house is beautifully decorated and very comfortable. The surrounding area (East Boothbay) is perfect for walking, and the East Boothbay General Store is a fantastic gourmet country store literally at the end of the road. We really couldn't have asked for a better or more relaxing stay. Patrick even brought us over some fresh peppers and tomatoes from his garden one evening after we had mentioned we would be cooking dinner that night. We can't wait to come back!
This property completely sold me when I went through the photos of this beautiful newly decorated space. The modern European furnishings and design of this house make it truly special. There wasn't a thing that the owners hadn't carefully thought out.
Very large and magnificently decorated - reminded me of a house in French countryside. Gardens, surrounding ponds, large grass areas. Carriage house is bright and airy with sun streaming in and hood cross breeze (plus overhead fans and ac in bedroom). Kitchen and equipment/tools/serving pieces that would make any chef happy. Large bath/shower. Linda/Patrick are charming hosts. Great outdoor patio. This area is residential, quiet and only few minutes walk to the General Store/Cafe. We stayed a week - wish it had been a month. Bed is new and very firm. 2 TV’s.
Great place, super clean, very kind and friendly hosts. Fully recommend.

Patrick and I have lived in numerous places over the years and have traveled whenever possible, for work and for pleasure. We adore people, food, wine and life! We love to entertain and create special moments for our family and dear friends. Pat, a gifted writer of film scripts, was a prominent director for several decades. He is an amazing Chef and always delights with his truly delectable food creations. I, Linda, was a Model for many years and worked in the film industry for 18 years as a makeup artist, as well as a costume designer. I studied myriad design disciplines and was owner of the company, Eventful Designing. We created countless glorious weddings and events, coast to coast, including in Europe. I love floral designing and interior decorating and stay most busy with these joyful endeavors.
