My family and I booked this property to have a safe and comfortable place to stay while my father underwent major surgery. Unfortunately, our experience was anything but that. From the start, the furniture was very cheap and uncomfortable, making the space feel unwelcoming and far from homelike. We also discovered there was a second tenant on the property, which was never disclosed in the listing. That tenant came to our door after 8 pm asking us to move our car because of unclear parking rules, which was unsettling given the circumstances. The worst part came when we woke up at 4 am to take my father to the hospital. We were greeted by masses of bugs and cockroaches throughout the home. They got into some of our food and even into our bags. It was absolutely unacceptable and unsanitary. At that point, we packed everything and left, abandoning what was supposed to be a six-day stay.I reported this to the owner, who refunded the portion VRBO had paid him, but when I explained that I would need to contact VRBO for the remainder, he asked me not to report it and offered to reimburse me directly. This experience was stressful, unsanitary, and misleading compared to the listing. I cannot recommend this property and would strongly caution anyone considering it.I have photos of all of the bugs but will refrain from adding them to this review.
I stayed here while my son was attending a sports camp at Stanford. It was the perfect space while we were here. Very clean, and the host was very helpful.
Overall the location and property worked perfect for us!! It was 14 of us ages 1 to 55!! The kids loved the pool

Great property and stay
The home itself is excellent. There was no backyard as expected but there's a nice front yard with an enclosed fence and privacy. The owner was courteous and had a fast respond time. The neighborhood isn't advertised because, though close to FB headquarters, the neighborhood is a little sketchy. Loud shouting was heard at the house next door and a house two doors down looks like something you might find in the less-safe parts of Oakland. Despite this the home itself feels safe - lights will automatically turn on outside the door if anyone approaches - and the interior of the home was excellent. Would stay again.
Small, but clean and modern. Beds are pretty hard!
All good.
