Awesome stay, Alison is an amazing host. The Cottage on Congress felt like home, as soon as we walked in the door. Excellently appointed and decorated beautifully. Great location, within easy walking distance to downtown Beaufort. Super clean and pet friendly made it the perfect place for our Easter weekend. We look forward to staying with Alison again.
Beautiful restored home! Glad they provided a book with info and pictures of the renovation. Kitchen was well equipped with nice appliances, pans, dishes, and glassware. The bikes were great for taking a ride around the historic areas. Loved our stay.
Wonderful rental in downtown Beaufort with great kitchen for entertaining and cooking meals. Magnolia Cafe across the street is so sweet. Sit outside and sip coffee with a view of the river. We always book this each year and find the house has everything we need. The owner is always prompt with responses and questions when we reach out! We often eat out downtown and make the drive to explore Hunting Island. The downtown area has wonderful shops and historical homes to see.
This was definitely our best VRBO stay ever! From the cute, whimsical decor to the well-stocked kitchen and baths, we appreciated the owner's thoughtfulness and attention to details. Hope to be back one day!
This is a beautiful home tastefully furnished and decorated. It is more spacious than we expected. It is well equipped for cooking meals. Nice dining room table or counter with stools to sit at. Living room is cozy for watching TV and reading. We enjoyed sitting on the porch with a glass of wine in the evenings. Master bedroom was comfortable with king bed, large walk in closet and bathroom with double vanity and nice shower. The second bed/bath also very nice. The cottage is located on the edge of the historic district. We drove to the downtown area which only took a few minutes. We loved staying here for 5 nights. Felt very much at home. Allison was a perfect host.

Our 3rd stay and certainly not our last. Perfect location, beautifully appointed and spotlessly clean. Alison & Bill think of everything to make their guests feel welcome. We would not consider staying anywhere else when we visit.

Thank you! We love it when our guest are happy! Thanks for being such a great guest! Hope to see you again!!
The overall excellence of the home’s amenities made living there a breeze. The kitchen was well outfitted as were the bathrooms. The home was in excellent condition, and the charming decor made it feel like home right away.
Well maintained, CLEAN, with lots of homey and helpful touches. Close to Parris Island for my son's Marine graduation. Enjoyed how close we were to the Bay Street shops. Would gladly stay here again. Thank you!
All the rooms were clean, comfortable, and exactly as pictured. The restoration was well done and allows the home to offer the charm of the past with all the modern conveniences. The house is in a perfect location for all that Beaufort and the surrounding area have to offer. Communication with the host was timely and very much appreciated. We hope to return to the area and when we do this home will definitely be our first choice.
Loved the property, great location and owner was very accommodating! The home is newly renovated and they thought of everything to make our stay comfortable!
Beautiful home! Highly recommend this property. Location is great and it is well appointed with everything needed for a great vacation. We will visit this home again.
We have stayed at the cottage many times. It never disappoints. I am only disappointed when I have to leave. You can tell that the place is loved and cared for. Thanks Allison!

About the host
Hosted by Alison
Bill & I are originally from Atlanta, Ga, but 20 years ago we moved to South Florida to open a new business. However, our long term plan is to retire to beautiful, historic Beaufort one day. We felt renovating this home was the 1st step towards are journey to living in Beaufort. We hope you enjoy & love this area as much as we do.
Why they chose this property
As our contractor put it "this house is one of the last greatest saves". We fell in love with the home, even though it needed LOTS of work. We feel like we have restored a bit of history and added our footprint the wonderful historic area of Beaufort.
