Magnificent loft-style cottage in the heart of Varengeville, 4-star rated
This long building made of white Dieppe bricks, constructed at the end of the 17th century, housed the horses of travellers who themselves stayed overnight at the Coaching Inn located on the other side of the road in the very centre of the village. These stables form a complex, in a farmyard courtyard, with as the main house the former blacksmith's house, currently another cottage: "la Petite Maison".
Sabine, the owner, has transformed this place with passion into a magnificent loft space centred around an interior garden, serving as a lounge, dining room-kitchen, and convivial gathering space.
2 spacious suites surround this garden room.
On the left, a bedroom lounge/office with a bed (160 cm) in a mezzanine and a shower room/WC, accessible to people with reduced mobility. It is also possible to install 2 beds (90 cm) on the ground floor (if you don't want to climb the stairs).
On the right, a suite over 2 floors with shower room/WC: downstairs a large double bed (160 cm), upstairs 3 beds 90 cm.
The courses to the south and north are treated as garden terraces. These are planted with aromatic herbs, where everyone can help themselves and prepare good little dishes.
The garden at the back of the house is entirely enclosed and is equipped with an office with additional fridge and washing machine.
By a small path, you can access another intimate little garden, with a view of the meadow where young cattle graze. This garden is equipped with a swing seat and a table tennis table.
The emphasis of this place is on creativity, the refinement of colours, indoor and outdoor plants that reflect the taste of the gardens in Varengeville.
A place that smells wonderful and where it is good to live, as a family, for a few days to recharge and relax, in the heart of the village, VARENGEVILLE, the village of artist-painters, of gardener-creators.
