Thank you for your words towards your experience at Casa de las Tortugas. However, I am still confused of your grade of 1 star which still affects my overall grade.
Casa de tortugas is a beautiful, clean house to stay in. It is located in a great neighborhood, the layout was perfect and had everything we needed for our stay. Our visit to El Paso was due to a medical emergency, and we were uncertain about our length of stay, but Jorge Lopez proved to be an exceptionally understanding and amazing host. I highly recommend this home for your next stay.
We enjoyed staying here and it was very comfortable for my family. The kitchen was a great place to hang out for everyone. The neighborhood was cute and we felt safe. There are grocery stores and restaurants nearby. I would definitely stay here again.

Casa de las Tortugas
We appreciated the hosts stocking the house with thoughtful things like a variety of sugars for coffee, cold water bottles in the fridge, etc. One suggestion would be to add extra blankets/pillows/towels in closets. I would stay here again.
This home was so beautiful and had amazing El Paso charm. It was very clean, beds were comfy, the kitchen was extra large, the multiple outdoor seating areas provided bonus space to relax, the AC worked extremely well and the location was perfect. Could not have chosen a better place for our hometown visit. I will absolutely stay there again.

We enjoyed our stay here. Convenient to many destinations around El Paso. One note: if you’re sensitive to fragrances, this may not be the place for you. There was a strong smell of Fabuloso and plug-in fragrances throughout the house.

Amanda,
Thank you for your review. I strongly believe we followed and met every criteria which has given us a good reputation and therefore you enjoyed your stay. We have never used fabuloso. Indeed, we have some light and fresh aromas along with cleaning products to make your stay more pleasant. However what is most important is that the place was cleaned and disinfected, specially with COVID19.
Unfortunately we did not know that you or your party of 4, not 2 as you stated when you booked the place, were fragrance and/or cleaning products sensitive. We extend our apology.
We are looking forward to meet your expectation next time if you give us the chance to host for you.
Thank you again for staying in Casa de las Tortugas
Our stay was perfect. The house is set up very nicely and in great condition. Beds were comfortable and met our needs. An exceptional touch was having coffee, water, and a couple of sodas in the house. Jorge is very responsive and helpful. Thank you for a great stay.
This was exactly what we needed. The host was welcoming and we were able to reach out to him with a question and he responded within 5 minutes. When we return to El Paso we will stay here again.
We had a wonderful time at Casa de la Tortugas. The house was clean and comfortable. The kitchen was large and spacious, it was our favorite! We enjoyed being able to all be together while we cooked our meals! It was also nice perk having Netflix in the evening to watch a movie together. Overall it was a wonderful stay!

We've stayed in a lot of rental properties over the years and this was easily one of the best. The home was beautiful and clean and had everything we needed. Jorge has truly put thought into making his guests as comfortable as possible. From coffee and creamer to toiletries, he has gone the extra step to ensure a great experience. An added bonus was having Costco and Target just minutes away. I would definitely stay here again.
Casa de las Tortugas is located in Central El Paso, situated on a beautiful tree-lined boulevard adjacent to the exclusive Pennsylvania Circle area. Easy access to the airport and freeway, you are minutes from any of the best restaurants and attractions El Paso has to offer. The house itself is a renovated 1940’s bungalow with a huge kitchen, Mater bedroom and Mater bath. Six adults stayed comfortably as the house is well-appointed with everything you could possibly need. Jorge was east to book with and was in constant communication before and after the stay. You will not find a more comfortable, homey stay than this! We all loved it!
The pictures of this home were wonderful but they still don't show you exactly how beautiful this home is. The kitchen was a dream. I wanted it for myself. The host was very responsive and easy to get a hold of. The neighborhood was safe enough to walk in the morning. Parking was easy and the location was close to EVERYTHING. I thoroughly enjoyed my stay here.
I’ve can’t say enough nice things about Jorge and this house! Everything was wonderful. This was one of the cleanest rentals we have ever stayed in! The beautiful kitchen was well stocked. And the location was perfect for all our activities and close to the airport. Jorge is the nicest owner; always communicating and quick to respond. Luckily, the house was available for an early check in and Jorge was super accommodating for our group especially traveling with young kids. We will defining stay here again the next time we’re in town!

Marcella,
It has been an honor hosting for you and your family. Welcome back any time.
Thank you. :)
This is one of the best rentals we have stayed at. It was very clean, pretty much spotless! It was a modern house and very spacious. This house provided us the space we needed and was in a calmer, nice part of town which my parents liked. The house is located in a centrally located area; downtown and shopping areas weren’t too far away. There are some great restaurants nearby and a gas station within walking distance. The house offered the basic bathroom and kitchen necessities that you need for your stay. The owner is super fast and responsive with communication and we had no problems. There were a lot of “post-it notes" around the house, which I found very helpful. Since you are a visitor in a stranger's house the “notes” provided helpful tips/rules. There was a 2 sided page with some basic welcome information and lots of brochures of nearby attractions which was super helpful. Overall, we had a great stay and I would highly recommend this vrbo! The only 2 small cons were 1) the house is located near a somewhat busy road and an airport. You can hear cars zooming by all hours of the night plus planes departing. If you are a light sleeper bring headphones. 2) You are not allowed to open the window blinds. I am assuming for AC efficiency. We felt closed in and dark. We like to see the sun/outside; however, there are lots of outdoor patio spaces. These are just small personal preferences, however, it really was a great stay!
The house was perfect for our group of over 65, because of our age we could have used a rail on the front Steps, and in the showers. The beds are a bit high if you have a height issue, most of us are short. The linens are nice and the towels are exceptional, we all want to purchase the same towels for ourselves. The kitchen was equipped with everything you need and then some. Casa de Las Tortugas left us many complimentary gifts that were not only a surprise and but very welcomed. The traffic is quite heavy on the side street but it bothered no one in our group. Parking is also an issue at the house if you have more that two cars but there is parking on the street. The neighborhood is nice, we walked and enjoyed the older homes and the beautiful weather. Casa de Las Tortugas is tastefully decorated and full equipped. I would recommend Casa De Las Tortugas to anyone needed a home in central El Paso. Jorge was great to work with as well. Thank you Jorge for making feel so welcome, all in all we had a fabulous time, your home is lovely.

Overall, we enjoyed the home and recommend it. The house is updated, well-kept, and tastefully decorated. It is comfortable, and the location is convenient. The pictures are accurate. The kitchen is nice and spacious. Every night we watched Netflix in the cozy living room, The house sits on a corner but neither street is all that busy. There are two outdoor spaces which we did not use (too cold) but quite nice.
There was nothing negative about the place, but I do have some recommendations based on what we encountered-
1. Automatic porch light or a door keypad that lights up on touch. On arrival, it was dark and we couldn't make out the numbers on the keypad.
2. Add luggage racks in each room.
3. Add additional pillows and blankets in each room.
4. Equip the kitchen with more glasses, spoons, forks and bowls. :)
5. Add more towels - at least two per guest.
Please note: These recommendations did not influence my review or score.
Overall, the home was inviting, beautiful, clean and perfect for our needs.
Our second stay with Jorge at this property we enjoyed our stay as this home meets our needs for both family and location. The kitchen is large and great for us to prepare meals and just hang out. I would recommend and we would visit and use the property again. As always Jorge has been very helpful from the get go.
Jorge went above and beyond to be an accommodating host. Highly recommend booking this property. Jorge knows all the things to do in El Paso.
