The Space:
This amazing 6 bedroom, 6 bathroom house has everything you can imagine and more. Five bedrooms has ensuite bathrooms. It sleeps 22 and has enough room for plenty of gathering. It sits a mere 100 feet from the beach, near barrel 73, and has a beautiful salt water pool (not heated) and heated spa. This house has it all. The Open concept Kitchen, living room, dining room has plenty of room for everyone to visit, spend group together time, have family games and still have plenty of space for everyone to be comfortable.

The grand deck accents the house with a beautiful view of the surroundings, especially the water. Sit on the deck and sun and listen to the relaxing sound of the Gulf waves as they splash onto the sandy shore.
Each of the 3700 square feet of this amazing property is swathed in luxury, from the iridescent tiles on the pool (not heated) and hot tub, the mirrored wall, to the comfortable plush and spacious bedrooms.

Family vacation

We had a wonderful time, house and location were great. The only issue we had was the oven was not working and we were not informed ahead of time which messed up dinners a bit since each family member cooked one of the 4 nights and 3 of the night required a regular oven and we had to make use of toaster oven.

Best Location for any event!

This property left everyone in awe. It was perfectly upkept, the manager was super responsive and accommodating, and the location was perfect. Will definitely be staying again in the future.

Great location, clean & comfortable!

Our group consisted of six couples, ages 40-60 years old. We’ve done this trip several years in a row and everyone agreed this was the best house we’ve stayed in. The home is spacious, one level, and everyone had their own bathroom. The pool was refreshing after spending the days in the hot sun at the beach. Will stay here again.

Lovely hom

We had a family weekend here with about 14 people. I loved the location and the manager was very helpful. I would recommend to bring additional towels and blankets. They are also not overly stocked in the kitchen with supplies. You make want to bring your own wine glasses too.

This house is amazing!!

This property is ahhhh-mazing!! 5 couples stayed at this property and everyone was so impressed with everything. Nice furnishings in every room. Kitchen has just about everything you need for preparing meals. Plenty of plates, glassware, silverware, etc. The pool and hot tub was a big hit to relax and cool down after time spent at the beach. Great location as well. Highly recommend.

Outstanding property!!

My family and I spent New Year’s weekend at Crystal Beach in this amazing house. We have been doing family beach vacations for the past 5 years and this property is far and away the nicest property we’ve ever rented. Beautiful house, very well-appointed kitchen, amazing decor, comfy bedrooms, plenty of room for my large family…we couldn’t have asked for anything more! Property management was extremely responsive and helpful, as well. This is a five-star property!

Our Second Stay

We stayed last year, so we knew what to expect. For us it is a great blend of beach and pool for the kids. 6 bedrooms, 6 baths makes it private, but huge common areas makes it family. Our schedules were flexible, so we had some for three days, some for four, so it was hectic but relaxing. Two power outages give the kids something to tell their friends about for years to come.

Great, memorable family vacation

Property was spacious, plenty of room for everyone, plenty of bathrooms to accomodate after a day at the beach. Nice to have a shaded swimming pool at the ground level for those who wants to swim but not in direct sun. Only issue were the ants in the kitchen area. Addressed at the beginning of the stay and was not fully resolved by the time we left 4 days later. But overall, everyone enjoyed vacation and we would come back.

Ladies Retreat

Such a great house! Want to shout out to Joe Joe (sp?) the property manager- he was SO helpful as well as Mara (sp?) Both made sure this was a great place for us. Hot tub is a little hard to navigate and elevator was not working, but there is a luggage lift so that was not an issue for us. Such a beautiful and peaceful house. This was our second year to stay and Pelican Wharf! We will be back;)

Less than a block from the beach, but difficult to get to Galveston

This was a very spacious 6 bedroom, 6 bath house near the beach. It was fairly well maintained and was very comfortable. Something we did not know before we arrived was that it is either a ferry ride or 2 1/2 hour drive to Galveston. We waited for the ferry anywhere from 45 minutes to 3 hours depending on the time of day. If we visit the area again, We will stay on the other side of the bay.

Just as advertised

This was a great property for our family of 16. There was plenty of space for everyone, the kids loved the bunk room! There was also plenty of space for privacy when needed and every bedroom has a TV. The house is well stocked and beautifully decorated. The pool underneath was a big hit even though not heated. The house is just a short 2 minute walk to the beach. Since you can drive on the beach the golf cart is not really necessary (there's also a wagon for hauling gear). The management company did a great job responding to questions and requests. Would definitely recommend and stay again.

Great Property!

We loved our stay at Pelican Wharf. The pool and the inside of the house suited our needs perfectly. We couldn't have had a better location, so close to the beach but also quiet and pleasant. The porch having a gate that closed off the stairs was perfect for babies and toddlers being contained. There were two washers and dryers which was fabulous. I think the only bummer was that we were never able to get the elevator working which would've been helpful at times for my parents. But the Lift was great for bringing up our belongings. And I think I would just notify the owner that the metal handrail on the stairs has a screw loose. Otherwise amazing property! And they even have the property sprayed for mosquitoes which made the downstairs shower and pool so much more pleasant. Definitely would book this place again.

Honest review

Working with agent Glynda was excellent. She took care of things whenever we called which was often the first few days. The owner had sent us codes for lock box which were wrong. All the lamps were unplugged, the master bath tub would not drain and main issue elevator did not work properly. I was locked in for 40 minutes our first day there, Tuesday. Called Glynda and she started trying to get someone out there. The elevator was one of the selling points on the house as I have recently had knee surgery. The elevator people came on Friday and the elevator could still not be trusted all week. They showed us how to get someone out if they got trapped but everyone was afraid to use it by then. Did not like only having Hulu available as we could not find local station. We are older and don’t stream. Once again I want to say how wonderful Glynda was to work with. She always had a smile in her voice even after I called so many times

Inaccurately Represented Did Not Follow Through With Promise to Compensate

The property was "okay" nothing superior like I thought I was getting for the price I paid. When I booked the property in February for our August vacation, the ad boasted both a cargo lift and an elevator. Well, this was perfect because both myself and my 90-year-old mother have an extremely difficult time with stairs and this unit had a lot. The a/c must have been on a governor or was being controlled by an outside source because when we tried to cool the place down below 70 degrees, it always was bumped back up above 70. We were only allotted two rolls of paper towels and two rolls of TP per bathroom for 13 people for a 4-night stay. Just a little bit too frugal, I thought. We had ants in the kitchen, a fridge that had an ice maker but wouldn't make ice, and the handle on the front entrance door was very loose and could have fallen off. We didn't feel secure at all. On top of that, upon check in, we called the owner of the property to "complain" about the elevator not working and he was very apologetic. I told him I thought we should be compensated for not having a working elevator since that's the sole reason I spent the extra money and rented this house.... for the elevator. He agreed and told me he would compensate me before I checked out. Well, it's 12 days later and I haven't seen any compensation from him. Evidently, he was just telling me what I wanted to hear to get me off his back. He had no intention of compensating me for a non-working elevator. Rent elsewhere!

Great house!

House is perfect for adults vacationing together! No bed smaller than a queen, plenty of bathrooms, ample space! The elevator is a game changer! Our neighbors were envious… All this just a 2-minute walk to the beach is absolute perfection! We will certainly be back!

Absolutely Stunning

I would say the pictures do not do this house justice. It is absolutely beautiful and comfortably slept 19 women! If you are looking for a house directly on the beach, it is not…you can see the beach from the house but it is a short walk to the beach. The elevator for taking all of our stuff upstairs was amazing- the pool and hot tub are beautiful, there’s an outdoor shower to wash off beach sand-the kitchen is enormous I truly cannot say enough about how awesome the house itself was. We will definitely stay again!

Perfect!
