Golden Nest on the lake

Newly landscaped, discover the advantages of living near the lake and the forest while being only 40 minutes from Ottawa. The attractions of this exceptional environment will allow you to do various activities in both winter and summer.
We look forward to welcoming you to the Nid Doré sur le lac.

Space
The loft has a large bedroom with a queen bed, a second room with a window where there is a sofa bed (double) and a full bathroom with shower. A third sofa bed is available in the living room thanks to the modular installed.
The living room, kitchenette and kitchen are open concept with cathedral ceilings. Its beamed ceilings offer a rustic and modern decoration while providing a peaceful and pleasant atmosphere. Three huge windows provide great light and offer a view of the beauty of Lake St-Pierre.
The loft easily accommodates 4-5 people. On request, a high chair and a playpen can be provided. The kitchen is equipped with two induction cooktops, a small cooking oven, a microwave, a dishwasher and a fridge to facilitate the preparation of meals. A BBQ is also available on the outside balcony during the summer period. A heat pump with air conditioning makes the loft comfortable all year round.
On the property grounds, you will have access to a beautiful living area with a spa (open from 10h00 to 22h00), a patio set, garden furniture and a gas fireplace.
Two kayaks, two paddles boards and safety vests will also be at your disposal as well as access on the water's edge. The use of safety belts is mandatory for the use of boats (kayak et paddle boards).
You will enjoy a calm and relaxing environment for a vacation that you will remember for a long time.

My partner and I had a lovely time on our vacation and Françoise and Rejean were amazing hosts and quick to answer our questions or help out if we needed anything. Only slight downside was that the lake is quite weed-y at the end of the season but we made it work by paddling out to swim and there’s a nice municipal beach for longer hot days! All in all, would book again, perfect place to disconnect and relax.

Lovely Stay, Beautiful Region

Had a lovely stay here for a weekend with friends. Francoise and Rejean were very welcoming and gave us great recommendations for hikes and places to visit. The bed in the second bedroom is a sofa bed and could have been a bit more comfortable, but overall thia was a great stay.

Nice lake, nice accommodations A little bit back from the water, just a short walk away. Weeds in water, great for boating. We brought a fan which we appreciated in the bedroom the AC does not reach there.

Merci pour vos commentaires. Concernant la climatisation, Il a fait plus de 40 degré avec humidex durant ce séjour, nous avons un système de climatisation central qui répond amplement en situation de température normale. De plus nous avons également fourni un ventilateur à sa demande puisqu'elle ne tenait pas à laisser les portes des chambres entrouvertes afin que l'air circule.

Great Escape

After Covid the whole family needed to get away and enjoy nature hikes and goofing about by the water. This beautiful spot did just that. The Host and Hostess were warm welcoming. The hosts provided wonderful ideas of adventures in the area We discovered Wakefield and great food. The bakery was our favourite spot. Thank you for a wonderful get away.

Incredible property and even better hosts!

I can wholeheartedly recommend staying at this property. The room itself is well set up, enough cutlery and plates for everyone, good WiFi and comfortable beds (there were 4 of us and we fit perfectly, could have fit 1 or 2 more adults easily). But all this is dwarfed by the beauty of the area, exploring Lac Saint-Pierre with the provided watercraft was so much fun! The hosts are also incredibly nice, one night we unfortunately lost power (totally out of the hosts control due to heavy rains in the area). They quickly provided us with water, candles and torches and then proceeded to set us up with a generator. 10/10 looking forward to visiting here again!

Great space in a lovely and relaxing area

This location is a gem. The unit, waterfront, landscaping, hot tub are well-maintained and have everything you need. Françoise and Réjean are warm and welcoming, and have made sure to furnish the unit with the small things (books, games, salt & pepper) which is such a nice touch. The space was perfect for the three of us. It was exactly what we were looking for: a quiet and relaxing vacation with our toddler. The unit is very private and we spent a lot of time with our little one on the beach. We had fun using the paddle boards and kayaks. Françoise and Réjean are very kind and thoughtful- making sure the unit met our needs. We will certainly return!

Fabulous Lake Vacation

The loft apartment was very clean, well appointed and comfortable. Built recently, it is very well designed, modern, and has all that we needed to make meals, play games, relax and sleep comfortably (excellent new AC unit kept us very cool). The kitchen has two induction cooktops that work very well and a counter top oven and microwave. We cooked all our meals there- we had everything we needed. The owners communicate very well. They met us at the loft, toured us and explained how things work. They are incredibly generous providing access to their huge spa, kayaks and paddle boards and providing waterfront access for lounging (we read under the shade of their trees while marvelling at the beautiful lake and tree covered hills). We highly recommend enjoying a holiday on beautiful Lac Saint-Pierre in this splendid loft apartment.

Both the hosts were great people to talk to. They were super helpful with anything that was needed. The vrbo rental is on the same property as the owners but our privacy was well respected at all times. The location is gorgeous right beside a beautiful lake. The drive was easy, although the GPS could be a little misguiding. A lot of activities to do closeby, especially in the summer time. Great hikes and skiing spots in the area are also available. All in all 5 star experience, would definitely go back. Thank you our hosts.

Nous ne recommandons pas de séjourner ici.

Déception de départ car le loft est situé au dessus du garage situé derrière la grande maison des propriétaires et non pas au dessus de la maison tel que les photos le laissent croire ( vue partielle du lac lorsqu'on est dans le loft). Nombreuses contraintes d'utilisation de la zone bord de l'eau et du spa ainsi qu'un horaire précis qui restreint beaucoup la liberté tant souhaitée durant nos vacances ( horaire d'utilisation qui n'était pas mentionné sur le site lors de la location). De plus, comme la zone bord de l'eau est située près de leur maison grandement vitrée, on se sent toujours potentiellement observés. Le gazébo, qui devait nous fournir 2 murs d'intimité selon l'annonce lors de la location, n'était pas là. Résultat: nous ne nous sentions pas très à l'aise d'utiliser la zone en soirée car il n'y a aucune intimité. Nous n'étions pas là pour faire la fête, seulement pour relaxer. Comme nous avions loué pour 1 mois, nous avions avisé les proprios que nous aurions de la visite d'amis. Même cette visite (après 10 jours de location) a causé des problèmes et a provoqué l'ajout de nouvelles règles d'utilisation des installations pour d'autres amis qui viendraient nous rendre visite ( aucun invité ne peut monter au loft, ni utiliser les installations) bref, aucune visite digne de ce nom. C'est à ce moment que nous avons décidé de quitter car nous ne nous sentions vraiment pas bien. Nous sommes restés seulement 13 jours sur place plutôt que un mois que nous avions déjà payé et lorsque mon conjoint a discuté avec les proprios de notre départ, les proprios ont refusé de nous rembourser les 2 semaines non utilisées. Nous savions que nous étions chez les proprios mais nous ne sentions vraiment pas que nous avions une place. On se sentait un peu comme des enfants surveillés par des parents. J'ai 52 ans et mon conjoint a 57 ans. Nous étions là avec mon garçon de 11 ans et nous sommes partis vraiment déçus de n'avoir pu profiter de nos vacances telles que nous les avions imaginées depuis février 2021. Bref, pour toutes ces raisons, nous ne pouvons vous recommander cet endroit.

Josée et sa famille sont venues et ont profité des installations du loft ainsi que des équipements disponibles durant leur séjour (spa, planches à pagaie, kayaks, BBQ etc.). La réservation initiale via la plateforme Abritel a été faite pour TROIS personnes et ce pour 4 semaines. Afin de s'assurer que notre établissement répondrait à leurs besoins, ils sont venus visiter quelques semaines avant leur arrivée. Leur durée de séjour a été écourtée à la suite d’une discussion entourant la venue et le coucher de visiteurs additionnels dans le loft sans aucun avertissement au préalable. Nous avions toléré la venue et le coucher d'un premier groupe de visiteurs. Lors de l'arrivée d'un deuxième groupe, quelques heures après que le premier a été parti, nous avons entamé une discussion avec la locataire. Avant de discuter de la venue de visiteurs impromptues, nous avons demandé à la cliente comment étaient ses vacances et elle a manifesté qu'elle était satisfaite. Nous citons ses mots: ”C'est le paradis”. Lors de la discussion, nous avons alors appris que plusieurs autres visiteurs (possiblement 3 autres groupes) viendraient et coucheraient dans le loft au cours des deux dernières semaines. La décision de quitter l'établissement plus tôt fut prise par eux. Nous avions essayé de trouver un compromis, mais en vain. Nous considérons avoir rempli les conditions reliées à notre entente initiale qui était une réservation pour 3 personnes. Tel que dans n'importe quel établissement hôtelier, une réservation initiale pour TROIS personnes ne donne pas le droit aux locataires d'inviter qui ils veulent et quand ils le veulent. En terminant, si les intentions des locataires avaient été connues lors de la demande de réservation, nous les aurions informés que la location du loft ne correspondait possiblement pas à leurs besoins et qu'il serait mieux pour eux, et pour nous, de trouver un autre type de location.
