Beautiful cabin

Quaint little cottage that feels like you’re on the edge of the world, but is conveniently close to a lot of the hikes and sites around Skye. Really lovely and comfy.

Great views!

The location is beautiful! Great views every direction. It was a wonderful location to get to every part of the island for sightseeing. The cottage could use some updating, mainly the kitchen floor, which is old linoleum, worn thru in places and not stuck down very well. Very friendly hostess. overall a good experience

Adequate

Mrs Scholes immediately answered when I called about arranging key pickup, but it would be nice to have other ways to contact her as well for international travelers with limited phone plans. The house serves it's purpose for sleeping and has a shower and a toilet, but the mattresses were uncomfortable, the washing machine did not have detergent, and there is an abandoned creepy house right beside it, viewable from the kitchen. When we arrived there were a lot of bugs everywhere. One more additional cleaning and maybe some basic soap for the shower would have made our stay a lot more comfortable.

Die Unterkunft ist räumlich toll gestaltet. Die Küche ist groß und gut ausgestattet. Selbstversorgung ist hier kein Problem. Im Badezimmer fehlt es ab jeglicher Ablagemöglichkeit und die Lüftung ist defekt. Die Dusche funktioniert top. Im Schlafzimmer riecht es feucht, das sieht man leider auch an manchen Ecken. Die Matratze ist weich und durch. Der Vorraum ist an der Decke und den Wänden mit schwarzen Flecken übersät. Das kleine Schlafzimmer und das Wohnzimmer sind einwandfrei. Insgesamt eine tolle Location mit einem unfassbar schönen Ausblick die allerdings in die Jahre gekommen ist. Hier muss renoviert werden. Die Lage ist bezaubernd. Ruhig und bezaubernd.
