Beautiful house and great location

The house is a great base to visit Normandy, St Lo, Caen and all the D-Day locations, beaches and museums, the hosts Cécile and Pierre are 2 lovely people, very helpful but also respected our privacy, I would very highly recommend this holiday home. Also it comes with a jacuzzi.

St. Georges - d'Elle

The booking on VRBO was straight forward & the accommodation appeared to be, from the pictures lovely. Upon our arrival after a long day travelling we were looking forward to meeting our hosts. We had emailed them a day or so before our arrival to let them know approximately our arrival time 19.30hrs. We drove straight to the property from the ferry port & when we arrived the owners were not there. We knocked on the door of the owners property but they were no where to be seen. I checked my emails only to read one that had been sent by them at 4.00pm to say they wouldn't be there & would be back the following evening (Sunday). They also indicated that the key would be in the door of which there were 4 doors none of which had keys. After about 15 minutes we realised that the patio door was unlooked and a key was in fact in one of the internal doors which couldn't be seen from the outside. We found our way around the property only to find the property wasn't finished i.e. there were bits missing on the skirtings, unpainted door frames, exposed wires on light switches, damaged chair, items left in the fridge & generally was not the high standard it led us to believe. Unfortunately it didn't end there...we never saw the owners even though they were at home from the Sunday evening. We returned home and were then accused of taking the key with us. A strongly worded email from us to say we had not & had a photo to prove it & they never even replied. Not a great experience!

Echt heerlijk!!! Een aanrader voor mensen die van comfort houden en volledig tot rust willen komen, wat een stilte daar,. Af en toe hoor je de ezels die naast het huis staan. Binnen en buiten is het heel fijn, we voelden ons gelijk thuis. Het weer speelde niet mee veel regenbuien maar het huis was zo comfortabel dat we er geen hinder van ondervonden omdat het huis echt van alle gemakken is voorzien. Savonds hebben wij zelfs een paar keer de haard aangedaan. De tafeltennistafel is veelvuldig gebruikt, deze stond op hun mooie terras maar hebben we naar binnen gezet, ivm regen, Er staat ook een voetbaltafel. Je kan heerlijk in de jacuzzi met 4 tot 6 pers Het huis heeft 1 badkaner met regendouche en bad, en een extra douche bij de jacuzzi met masagestralen. Er zijn 4 grote slaapkamers met fijne bedden, Het ligt ongeveer 30min rijden naar de (invasie) stranden Omaha beach. Ook is er in de omgeving genoeg te bezichtigen zowel over de oorlog maar ook mooie kastelen, leuke dorpjes, dierentuin, pretpark enz enz. De grote supermarkten zijn met ongeveer 15min rijden te vinden. We vonden het er dus echt heel fijn🍷 En als we weer die kant op willen gaan we zeker dit huis boeken.

Goed verblijf gehad in dit leuke huis, het contact met de eigenaar verliep soepel. Wij waren er om wwII stranden en musea te zien…. Alles lag zo’n beetje binnen een afstand van 30/45 min. Al met al een prima huisje.

Vraiment tout était parfait. La gentillesse des prioritaires et la maison. Déjà les propriétaires sont disponibles et discret en même temps. C'est un plaisir. Quelle maison !!!! Tout est beau de bonnes qualités et très bien agencé. Il y a tout pour passer un merveilleux séjour. On ne peut pas s'ennuyer. Baby-foot, badminton, barbecue... Bon accueil du propriétaire. Maison spacieuse, cuisine bien équipée, lits confortables, parking sécurisé a l' intérieur de la propriété. Le jaccuzi est un plus pour passer un moment de détente. Emplacement calme en campagne mais un peu loin de la côte. Le séjour a été apprécié en famille.
