Rockaway Family Tides - Oregon Beach Vacations

Welcome to Rockaway Family Tides, located in Rockaway! This lovely, two story home is just a ten minute walk from the beach! Dog friendly with room for up to nine guests, this three bedroom, two bathroom home is perfect for a family reunion on the beach, or just a quiet getaway with your friends. Grab your bags, and head inside this home away from home.

Upon entering Rockaway Family Tides, you'll find yourself in a roomy living room with a couch that doubles as a sleeper sofa, an oversized chair, and two additional chairs for relaxing in while enjoying the flat screen TV. You'll have TV, a DVD and Blu-Ray player, along with DVD movies and Wi-Fi provided by the owners. There are also some books in the home if you'd like to read one during your trip. Grab some popcorn and relax with a late night movie after a day of playing on the beach, or just catch up with your family over a cup of coffee.

The dining room table with room for up to six guests sits behind the living room with plenty of natural light streaming in from the windows. Off to the left, you'll find the kitchen, with an additional table and seating for two. The kitchen has everything you might need to whip up some quick and easy meals during your stay. You'll have access to a refrigerator, dishwasher, oven/stove, coffee maker, toaster, microwave, and plenty of silverware and dish-ware for all of your guests. The laundry room is just behind the kitchen, complete with a washer and dryer and outdoor furniture to use during your stay. Feel free to pack light and wash clothes as needed during your trip to Rockaway.

Head outside, and you'll find a back deck with a large yard to run around in. Please note that the yard is not fenced, so any pets you bring will need to be leashed.

Head back inside and you'll find the first bathroom and bedroom. The Jack and Jill style bathroom connects this first floor bedroom with the kitchen. You'll find a walk-in shower and a queen bed on this floor. Head to the second story, and you'll find the other two bedrooms with another Jack and Jill bathroom containing a tub/shower combo. The first bedroom contains another queen bed, while the final room is perfect for any children in your party with a futon and full/twin bunk bed setup. There is also a TV and DVD player/DVD movies in this room for the kids to enjoy during their stay.

While staying in Rockaway Beach, you'll have plenty to see and do in the area. Head to the beach to catch some waves, or visit one of the many lakes in the area for a quick fishing trip. There are also several parks to take the children to, all within walking distance. There are many different shops and restaurants to explore along Highway 101, so grab a quick bite or search for that perfect souvenir to help you remember your visit. If you're looking for another activity that involves food, the Tillamook Cheese Factory in Tillamook offers a tour of their factory along with a cafeteria serving delicious food for purchase. Kitchen not clean. Never could get tv to work even after they sent over “their crew.” Nice and quiet neighborhood. But enjoyed our time at the beach and looking the area over.

Nice Quiet Neighborhood

We enjoyed our stay in Rockaway beach- loved the beach was in walking distance! The rental had great beds and the hot tub was used nightly. The town had lots of fun shopping. Even had a vendor fair over the weekend. Short travels to visit other beaches. We had a great trip! My 2 suggestions would be- just telling guests when the trash day is, instead of having to get a hold of management to ask. Also, a new toaster!

Our first visit to Oregon

This property accommodated my family nicely, was clean and is nicely located to the ocean. Many of the electric outlets need replaced as they do not hold plugs well (can be a fire hazard.) Also, the entertainment system (tv etc) in the living room needs updated as it was difficult to maneuver, keep on and slow to respond. It would kick off the program or the entire system would shut down.

Great vacation

The house was fantastic. It really is close enough to walk to the beach. My five year old did without even complaining that her legs hurt! The kids room was facing west so it was warm and bright so we used some of the extra blankets to add extra window covering just FYI. Other than that it was super family friendly. Bring your own beach umbrellas and folding chairs too.

Rockaway Family Trip 2022

First off I want to make sure not to give you a bad rating so that it will affect your business. I do however want to help you realize some issues that are at this property. The grounds need a lot of TLC and maintenance. The driveway was almost hidden by the over growth. We brought our dogs and the grass was so high they got lost in. Both front and back yards are completely overgrown and not even able to walk on. Blackberry are taking over your yard as well and the bushes and trees are a mess. Not sure if you are getting charged for landscaping but if you are you are getting ripped off. The house was clean and in order. It would have been helpful to have a notebook with how to use the hot tub and internet and cable and so forth. The stove needs to be replaced it is filthy and the vents and fans do not work. We could not find a plug for the kitchen sink, it might have been there but we could not locate it. The pots and pans could use a little updating as well. Property at Rockaway

Property has not been maintained. Both front and backyard completely overgrown, our kids couldn’t enjoy the yard. Hot tub was out of chemicals, we called maintenance and they were kind enough to show up the day we called to clean the tub and refill chemicals. Floors of bathrooms were covered in previous tenants hair and dirt. The dryer doesn’t work so we couldn’t clean any clothes or towels. Pots, pans and dishes were all dirty. Had to clean before use. Our stay on the coast was nice but the property needed some TLC —- looked nothing like pictures.

Great house, has everything you need to have a great stay. I wanted the house for the hot tub and they really need to clean it. The hot tub did not have the right PH levels and was very dirty, I belive most people would rent the house for the hot tub. Before I would rent again, I would message the owner to see if they can have someone go out to get the hot tub cleaned and with the right PH levels. Thank you for the stay

The property was beautiful and exactly what we saw online. The only issue I had was the cleanliness of the house when we arrived it was not very clean and there were things left from other guests in the room, and the coffee maker and dishes were also not clean but other then that it was great.

Family fun vacation

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was very clean. I was very happy with the location. I was more than satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house did everything we needed it to. Was clean and spacious enough for 4 adults, 2 small kids and 2 dogs. The kitchen was small and many of the outlets in the house don't work (plugs just fall out of them). Some of the beds were unmade, but there were clean sheets to be found to do it ourselves. The location was great, close enough to walk to the beach, even hauling all the kids' stuff, but off the main highway and quiet. The town itself isn't much, and a lot of places were closed. But we mostly hung out at the house and went to the beach - a perfect covid vacation.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: The house is in a good location, easy walk to the beach. The house itself is in need of some routine maintenance. Some outlets were not working, ceiling fan was unsafe, bunk beds were very shaky, bathroom fan needs cleans and lubricated. Also very frustrated dishwasher soap and washer soap was rationed. Spent over $1,000 on our rental and get 4 pods.... Had to call to have house keeping bring us more Tara she bags and clean up outside around the garbage can. We have use Oregon beach rental for years and we were disappointed with this one.

Girls weekend getaway 2021

Rating Details: The property manager was very helpful. The vacation rental was spotless. I was very happy with the location. I was satisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Over all we had a great time. There were a few things though. Upon arriving a gentleman was there and informed us of the hot tub situation. We were very appreciative that he caught the problem with the chemicals and had spent hours cleaning and draining the hot tub. If it had not been caught we would have been left with serious chemical burns. We were bummed to not be able to use it the night we got there but by Saturday it was warm enough but still had chemicals so we didn’t stay in it long. Which was the reason we chose the house. I would recommend a bigger trash can and extra trash bags in the kitchen. We had to go buy some as well as more paper towels. Also, one of the bunk beds upstairs is very wobbly and my friends were scared to move around on them. But, overall we had fun.

Needs an overall update

Rating Details: The property manager was adequately helpful. The vacation rental was clean. I was happy with the location. I was somewhat dissatisfied with the condition of the vacation rental. Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: This place lacked clarifying details. First no details regarding number of cars allowed. When I called to confirm at Oregon Beach Rentals, the person I spoke to also couldn’t give me an answer. At the home it was listed 5 cars and then another sign said 3 cars. There is no posted listing as to when the garage needs to be taken out (it’s Tuesday) so we arrived in a Tuesday afternoon to a full garbage can. The kitchen garbage can is TINY! So you constantly have to empty it, again just a simple upgrade of a larger garbage can would make it more functional. The woodstove needs further details added (for safety!). It would be important to know that you really can’t use regular size wood it doesn’t fit and trying to do so is a serious fire/safety hazard. Also, the special “tool” to open the door is missing! Lots of pictures of use this tool but it’s not there! The hot tub was absolutely disgusting!!!!! Scum floating on the surface, nasty! When I called to just let OVR know that there was a problem I was questioned and not believed, and I never heard back if they even checked out my complaint. Lastly the carpet and furniture is stained, I get that it is a rental but it is time for an upgrade. Oh. . And get rid of all the nasty scratched dirty pans in the pantry! Seriously we couldn’t even use the griddle it was so disgusting. Pots and pans are cheaply found at TJMaxx or Marshalls. To end on a positive, the beds were comfortable and the location close to the beach. A private spot to relax, again with a decent hot tub (not the nasty scum filled one we endured) I would recommend to others.
