The space
Grace's Landing is ideal for families who want a home base from which to take day trips or just relax; writers who seek inspiration; or couples seeking to reclaim some time for each other from the day to day noise. Settle in to a nicely appointed, 3-BR home that sleeps 8 comfortably, and where the only sounds are the morning call of sheep, the songs of spring and summer birds, and the pitter patter of the local hares as they scamper across the lawn first thing in the morning.

Guest access
The village of Sneem is only 3 miles down the only road into town, with nearby Kenmare (25 minutes), Killarney (55 minutes), Waterville (45 minutes), and Cork (75 minutes) just a scenic drive away. Sneem is located on the Ring of Kerry, one of the most scenic drives in all of Ireland. Walking paths, including the Kerry Way, run right through the property, and panoramic views of Kerry are just a 90 minute climb up the mountain behind the property. There are few locations as beautiful anywhere in the world.

Other things to note
Some travelers unaccustomed to narrow and windy roads can be a little nervous coming up our long road from the village. These narrow roads are quite common in Ireland for anything off of the beaten track. Fortunately, Irish drivers, particularly those from our neck of the woods, drive quite slowly and are always very courteous when two cars meet on a narrow road. It is part of the charm of Ireland and Kerry in particular. Please adjust your expectations a bit when driving from the village to our house. These are not paved, wide, American roads. This is Ireland, and part of the beauty of it is in slowing down, paying attention, and taking it all in.

Beautiful Home in Sneem hills

We really enjoyed our stay at Grace’s Landing. It’s in a beautiful rural location surrounded by hills and mountains. Just gorgeous!

About the host

We built this home for our family to replace the old stone farmhouse that had sat on the same site for 100 years. The structural damage made the farmhouse unsalvageable, but we maintained the exact site location and the character of the area while enhancing the magnificent views. I have been renting Grace's Landing since 2015 and have been thrilled with the response and with the quality of guests we have had. This will be my retirement home in a few years, so we are always grateful to guests who take good care of our home. We hope that you will enjoy your stay as much as we do every time we are back.
