EarthSong Lodge provides an opportunity for Denali Park visitors to have a unique, authentic place to stay overnight while visiting the National Park. Located four miles out Stampede Road (from "Into The Wild" fame), EarthSong is above treeline on open tundra, with unobstructed views of the Alaska Range. It's the perfect spot for guests who wish for a quiet, spectacular place to sleep, and have accommodations that are more than just a bed and bathroom. Log cabins are well-apportioned and have modern conveniences, spaced for privacy. On-site guests can enjoy some extra amenities. EarthSong is for the visitor that wants just a bit more from their visit. Two-Room cabins have two rooms, one double bed in each room, and are perfect for groups that need more than one bed. Separate rooms allow this cabin to be possible for couples traveling together, but there is limited space and privacy for four adults. Each cabin has bathroom with modern facilities, individual hot water heater, nice towels, extra pillows, and more to make your stay comfortable. Cabins are also insulated and heated for the cooler nights. All cabins have either private or shared porches. While there are no cooking facilities in the cabins, there is a shared kiosk where guests have access to fridge and microwave. Most cabins are log, all hand-built and unique, and have nice mix of authentic and comfort, with a high level of cleanliness. Daily service available.

The Check-In process was very easy. The cabin was down a nice wooden walkway which made pulling luggage to the cabin very easy. The cabin was very clean and nicely decorated. We would stay here again when visiting family in the area.
The place is nice and won't break the bank for staying near Denali!Def make sure you you visit the coffee shop and grab a bite to eat as well before heading out on your day. It's worth the little bit of extra travel time!We are sad though of no more dogs onsite.
The property is very well maintained with beautiful flowers everywhere. The rooms are cozy and extremely clean and the staff are all wonderful and helpful!!

Thanks Michael for such an excellent review. We're glad you had a good time with us, and hope to see you sometime in the future.
Very comfortable and clean cabins located just north of Denali Park. The cabins are set back from the main highway which makes it feel like you are in the park. Owner is very responsive and I would recommend this place to friends.

The Earth Song Lodge is a perfect get away - not too far away from Denali, but far enough to feel remote. The host (Ty) was very friendly and offered several suggestions for trails and restaurants. It was easy to see his passion for this place! The cabins were small but cozy - exactly what we were expecting. I'd stay here again.
Friendly staff, excellent coffee and great kennel tour
We only stayed overnight after a long trip through Denali. In the morning we had a wonderful cup of coffee and a very educational kennel tour….I would definitely book here if I wanted to learn to dog sled….maybe in the future….great passion for the sport and the area and the dogs!

Thank you Lenay, for the very nice review. Our passion is, and always has been, dog sledding. The kennel tour is the highlight of ours and our dogs' day, and we're very glad that it was enjoyed by you. Hope to see you in the future.

It's worth going an extra few miles off the main road to stay in one of the cabins. Breakfast options are provided whereas you need to go to Healy for dinner.
Great place to stay to avoid the more crowded options around Denali.

Thanks Margaret for the excellent review and recommendation. We are certainly a great alternative to the hustle and bustle at the park entrance!
We thoroughly enjoyed our short stay at Earthsong. The staff as very helpful and a delight to engage in conversation. The cabin was comfortable and convenient to Denali National Park. We loved having the coffee on property.Talking with the owner Jon was a bonus; his amazing stories of his adventures made being in the area more memorable. Earthsong is a great Alaskan experience.

Thank you Yvonne, we appreciate the great review. Meeting our interesting guests is a highlight of our summer, and we hope to see you again.
Loved every second of this trip! The property is adorable and the cabins are perfect! My husband and I stayed with his brother in a 2 bedroom and it was perfect. The coffee shop and dog meet and greet were fun perks. I said it there and I’ll say it here, Stampede road is the BEST road in Alaska! We even saw Denali when we went to 8 mile lake!
Two couples stayed here for just one night, but it was adequate for us. The next day the owner gave us a nice presentation about her dogs and how they are used in Alaska. Very informative.

About the host
Hosted by Jon Nierenberg
Jon and Karin Nierenberg own EarthSong Lodge, and built everything on the property. Ex-park ranger and dog sled guide and expedition leader, Jon has been in this area since 1982, homesteading just a few miles north of the lodge. Karin moved to Alaska in 1990, and together they built the lodge in 1996. Both have a love of the area and Alaska, and the lodge is a way to share that love of the park with guests from all over the world.
Why they chose this property
We built the lodge because we love the area and Alaska, and enjoy sharing our love of the park with people from across the globe.
What makes this property unique
Staying at EarthSong allows a visitor to get the best from their short visit to Denali, and have accommodations that are more than just a bed to sleep in. Rather, EarthSong has been an important part of our past guests stay. Our staff is well-versed on the park, and are happy to help guests plan activities from hiking to rafting to flightseeing. Our sled dog kennels have been a consistent favorite and are the best sled dogs in the state. We are more than just a few cabins, but rather an experience, and one that is uniquely Alaskan.
