Earthsong Lodge - Two Bedroom Cabin

Our Two-bedroom cabin at EarthSong Lodge is the largest cabin on property. Has the flexibility to accommodate couples traveling together or a family with children, with private bedrooms and private bathroom. The cabin has a living room along with a private porch overlooking the scenic Alaska Range, with sweeping views of the open tundra and mountains. One bedroom has a queen bed, second bedroom has a raised double bed with twin trundle underneath. Living room has a double sleeper sofa. This is an excellent alternative to the big hotels at the park entrance. Please note: There is NOT a refrigerator or microwave in the cabin. There is a communal refrigerator and microwave you will be more than welcome to use during your stay!

We enjoyed our stay very much! We were a little tight on space with 4 of us and all of our luggage, but we loved the overall atmosphere and the spectacular views! Jon was very friendly, helpful, and attentive to our needs.

Really nice property

We really enjoyed our stay. It was so quiet with mountains all around us. Very close to town and Denali. Plenty to do in the area and good food also. Would definitely stay there again!

It was perfect for us. The cabin was clean. The double bed was comfy (but the pullout bed not so much). Henry’s coffee house was a joy. The staff were welcoming and so very helpful. The extra quiet location was divine. Then you had the view from our cabin porch. Priceless.

Denali Getaway!

Earthsong was a great little property. The road was paved all the way to and past the property making it easy to get drive to. Check in process was a breeze with the key and additional info left in the mailbox when we arrive later in the evening. Rooms were just as described and contained everything we needed. The general manager was great and informed us on what to do in the area and also helped us out in making breakfast at the coffee shop they also have on property. Would recommend this location to anyone wanting a quiet place to stay but still close to Denali national park.

The cabin was comfortable and warm for our group of four adults and one child. The beds were very comfortable and the cabin was plenty warm when temperatures fell close to freezing. It also had an excellent view of the mountains and is in a beautiful area. I also can't say enough about how friendly and helpful the Manager and staff were at the lodge. They were willing to help us however we needed, going beyond expectations to ensure we had a great stay. The stories that are part of the lodge enriched our stay and we thoroughly enjoyed the log cabin ambience while there. I would stay at Earthsong Lodge again and recommend it to others.

Nice quiet stay close to Healy and Denali

We stayed here for three nights with a family of five in a two-room cabin. It was fairly tight for that many people, but we enjoyed the scenic venue and the rustic atmosphere. The coffee house next door was excellent and the onsite personnel were friendly and attentive. There is also a large yurt on the property that contains a nice library and a game area.We had plenty of hot water and the beds were very comfortable. The view from the two bedroom cabins is amazing as you look at the mountain range from the front door. There was a lot of wildlife in the area and we saw moose, fox, and the neighborhood squirrel was on our porch every morning. It was a nice quiet place to explore the area.They had discontinued the nightly slideshow and the sled dogs were not available during our visit. If that's important to you, you should check on the availability before you book. Overall, this is a great place to use as a home base for a visit to Northern Denali.

Thank you Steve for the very nice review. We appreciate the detail in your comments, and mentioning the discontinued programs for future guests. The last of my friendly sled dogs passed a few winters back, so we are not offering kennel tours anymore. The only way we could have sled dogs on property is to have some from other kennels, and then there would be an issue with noise and barking. The quiet environment at EarthSong is very important, why many choose to stay with us instead of being near the park entrance. Our other amenities can still provide something extra for future guests. Safe travels, hope to see you again.

Jon and Karin Nierenberg own EarthSong Lodge, and built everything on the property. Ex-park ranger and dog sled guide and expedition leader, Jon has been in this area since 1982, homesteading just a few miles north of the lodge. Karin moved to Alaska in 1990, and together they built the lodge in 1996. Both have a love of the area and Alaska, and the lodge is a way to share that love of the park with guests from all over the world.

We built the lodge because we love the area and Alaska, and enjoy sharing our love of the park with people from across the globe.

What makes this property unique

Staying at EarthSong allows a visitor to get the best from their short visit to Denali, and have accommodations that are more than just a bed to sleep in. Rather, EarthSong has been an important part of our past guests stay. Our staff is well-versed on the park, and are happy to help guests plan activities from hiking to rafting to flightseeing. Our sled dog kennels have been a consistent favorite and are the best sled dogs in the state. We are more than just a few cabins, but rather an experience, and one that is uniquely Alaskan.
