Love Orillia

There were a few bumps, however, the issues were fixed. A little disappointed that the pictures provided painted a different picture, especially of the lake. Overall, great response to the issues. The deck is absolutely excellent!

Great place not to far from the city!

This place was great! 4 people in total stayed for 2 nights. About 1.5 hours from Toronto which was perfect. Was a colder weekend so we didn’t swim In the lake, but we used the canoe which was amazing! There is quite a bit of lily pads and seaweed close to shore. Beaches close by by car if of any interest. The place had everything we needed including some charcoal and bbq fluid. There was a visit by a landscaping company to apply a spray On the grass for mosquitos during our stay, a few guests had chemical allergies and were nervous (Although they did say the spray was organic). A quick call to the owner and the work was rescheduled. This was a great experience and we would definitely book in the future.

Everything we needed was available and appreciated! Especially the AC! I’ve never been so cold in the summer it was great!

Awesome place!!

Wilson is a lovely host! The property actually had some updates from the pictures posted on line. A FirePit was added which was very nice as well as the deck was extended and a metal roof was added. Still plenty of seating in the sun on the deck as well. Beds were extremely comfortable and the entire cottage was very clean. Would definitely stay here again!!!

This cottage was purchased in April 2020 and it's brand new. I fell in love with the outdoors and I found myself frequently visiting parks that were close to lakes where I could go on long hikes with my dog. I've worked for various manufacturing companies and I found joy in being able to share my passion for the cottage life with others.

Why they chose this property

This cottage is perfect in that it is waterfront and connected to Lake Simcoe. In the winter folks are able to take their ATVs and drove across the frozen lake, go ice-fishing, or ice skating and in the summer you're able to go boating, kayak/canoe, fishing, and so much more.

What makes this property unique

Proximity - There is a national park that is a few minutes away that is ideal for hikes and Casino Rama is only 15 minutes away if you are into live shows, gambling, and entertainment. Moreover, Orillia is a city filled with many big-box retailers and specialty shops so you will always be close to the essential supplies you need. The location is amazing in that you get the country feel but you're not that far away either.
