As you enter the gates and park your car, you’ll find yourselves in the vast, 500 sq. m. outdoor area of Rosemary Villa. The tile-paved terrace features a private swimming pool of 45 sq. m. and 1.40 m. deep, 10 sun beds and umbrellas and an outdoor shower. Also, BBQ facilities are available in the pool terrace. The shaded pergola and the outdoor dining area, are ideal for preparing your meals al fresco and are designed for your outmost convenience, as well as outdoor dining and relaxing areas are also available for all our guests. Many plants potted in traditional ceramic pithoi and beautiful flower beds add a lovely touch to the terrace, while the fenced, stone walls secure your peace and quiet! Furthermore, three bikes are at our guests’ disposal…explore the village and cycle in the countryside!

Ground Floor
One the ground Floor of Rosemary Villa guests may find one double bedroom with an en-suite bathroom with shower cabin, offering direct access to the pool terrace from the rear side of the house! All rooms are air conditioned and have quality mattresses and linens! A few stairs lead you to the living room and kitchen area.

First Floor
The main entrance of the Villa, opens up to the spacious open-plan area boasting a comfortable living room with a traditional open fireplace, a fully equipped kitchen with branded appliances and a sitting area. There is also a WC situated on the ground floor by the living area. Double doors from living area take you to the large veranda, where you can find an elegant dining area, enjoying views of the Cretan sea. Stairs from the veranda lead to the pool terrace while stairs from the kitchen offer easy access to the BBQ area!

Second Floor
The master bedroom is located on the second floor featuring a double bed, a walk-in closet and an en-suite bathroom with a shower cabin, as well as access to a balcony with patio furniture and views of the surrounding area. Additionally, two twin bedrooms and a second family bathroom with a large shower cabin can also be found on this level.

Villa Rosemary, is located in Roussospiti village, which is situated 10 minutes away by car, from the city and beach of Rethymnon, and offers all the amenities guests will need, such as supermarkets, pharmacies, banks and ATM machines, restaurants, cafes and bars, a post office.

Roussospiti is known as “the balcony of Rethymno” thanks to its marvellous view of the area, the sea and famous White Mountains! Roussospiti is the most suitable place to totally relax and enjoy the stunning views of the area, as well as the nature! It’s ideal for walking, cycling and revitalising! It’s a vibrant village with a playground, two tavernas, a traditional cafe and a mini market! All within walking distance.

Through a scenic drive in the countryside you’ll be arriving at the village of Roussospiti, which has been classified as a preserved and traditional heritage site of great cultural value.

Roussospiti is also offered as a great base for exploring the nearby villages! The Mili Gorge can be found a few kilometres from Rethymno, along the Amari Road. The gorge has some beautiful ruins of old houses and water mills that once formed the village. Huge mulberry, cypress and nut trees grow wild along the gorge’s edge. At the top of the gorge there is a small taverna where you can sit and sample some Cretan dishes whilst enjoying the view. There are also a several small ponds and a picnic area. Also, the picturesque village of Chromonastiri, also a a preserved and traditional settlement, is very close to Roussospiti! Furthermore, in the nearby village of Saint Irene (Agia Irini) there is the homonymous old Monastery, which is considered to date back to the 14th century. After restoration works that started in 1989, the monastery was given a new life due to the eager activities of the nuns.

Superb villa

The villa is set high above Rethymno in the village of Roussospiti. It is really beautifully furnished and equipped. We loved the privacy and the pool was just perfect for our family. There are tavernas in the village but the supermarket is a 20 min drive

We highly recommend!

Our family of seven adults had the most wonderful here at Rosemary Villa. When we arrived after our long trip from the US, a hot meal and loads of snacks were waiting for us. The owners go above and beyond for their guests. The house is very comfortable and very-well appointed. The location is quiet with beautiful views. It's a short drive to Rethymno. We walked to Stella's taverna three times for dinner! We would easily stay here again!

Host Tula was superb - lovely home cooked meal ready for us on arrival and loads of stuff in fridge etc - wine, beer, fruit, salads Tula was so helpful and welcoming - she and her son Manolas made the holiday perfect. The villa was really clean and very well equipped, furnished to a high level and loads of room, indoors and out. Very convenient for Rethymno and beaches etc - 20 mins drive. Two nice taverns in the village with hospitable owners. Again, can't say enough about our hosts - we highly recommend a stay here to everyone."

Lovely villa in the hills

The property is huge, and the welcome of the hosts incredibly warm. Air-con is only in the bedrooms, but this wasn’t an issue for us as the property benefits from a breeze when the terrace doors are open. There are two tavernas within walking distance, and a rental car is necessary for getting to and from the main town, shops etc. We had a great few days and would happily return.

Even better than the photos

Stayed in a lot of villas over the last 20 years but this was the best. Great location, modern facilities and so quiet yet close to some good Tavernas and fab beaches 20 mins by car We were met on arrival by a cooked meal and some treats (cakes etc). Many have said it but bigger than photos look (and photos looked great). Villa has a real WOW factor and would 100% recommend. We will be back.

The property was exactly as listed with the ground floor area even bigger and more spacious than we anticipated. Plenty of room for all of us (7) without getting in each others way. The villa was cleaned regularly to a fantastic standard with even little gifts for us and our daughters left behind - can safely say this is the best villa we have stayed in anywhere, it began to feel like a second home which we never wanted to leave!

Amazing hospitality!

We are just back from 2 weeks at Villa Rosemary. The villa is absolutely wonderful, both inside and out. Toula, the owner was there to greet us, leaving a home cooked supper and lots of other treats. The pool area was immaculate and had a number of inflatables which the kids loved. The villa is high in the hills with amazing views. I was a little worried about the drive because there are quite a few tight corners, but actually there is so little traffic on the road, it is fine. I also drove into Rethymnon several times and found easy parking in the harbour car park - Eur2 for 2 hours. There are 3 tavernas in walking distance of the villa, so no need to take the car out at night - Aloni, Mylonas and Vamvakas. Aloni was our favourite - very generous with their extras! In all, a fantastic holiday!

Fabulous!

What an amazing house! Toula greeted us with a welcome table and fridge, not just a pack!! And a chicken with local potatoes cooking in the oven. The house is fabulous, very comfortable and well equipped. The pool is amazing too. Glorious views from the terraces. We had very hot weather whilst we were there and needed a fan for downstairs. A message to Toula and she appeared within 10 minutes with one. She also kept bringing us gifts throughout our stay. Super hospitality! This is one of the best houses we have stayed in and we have been renting villas for over 40 years! Just one downside ☹️ There are a lot of dogs in the village and they bark a lot.

Great getaway

Rosemary Villa is a great choice if you're visiting this part of Crete, it had everything you could wish for and more. We were met by Manolis & Toula who welcomed us with a table full of fresh fruit and vegetables, the fridge was full of bottled water, beer, wine, soft drinks and also a full watermelon, there was also large tray of chicken and potatoes cooking in the oven...a great start. The larder was full of herbs, spices, oils, tea, coffee, filters for the coffee machine and much more. There were plenty of bin bags, dishwasher tablets, washing powder and loo rolls too. The bedrooms were large and very comfortable and had more than enough sheets, blankets and towels for our stay. The cleaning lady came every 3rd day to check everything was ok and to change bedding and towels if required, top service. The pool area was great as were the outside terraces. There are 3 tavernas in the village all within walking distance although 2 of them are down a steep hill, Aloni Cafe & Restaurant was our favourite, they served great food, local craft beer and the 'extras' were amazing. We will be certain to look this place up if we ever return to this part of Crete, thanks for a great stay.

Phantastische Lage/ Sehr angenehme Betreuung

Wir wurden von Mrs Toula wie Familienmitglieder empfangen. Auch unser Eintreffen abends tat dem keinen Abbruch. Abendessen und viele notwendige Sachen waren bevorratet, so dass wir ein/zwei Tage versorgt waren. Bei Problemen reagierte die Gastgeberin sofort. Reinigung einschl. pool war vorbildlich und immer abgestimmt. Ohne Auto geht dort Oben gar nichts - allerdings sind die Entfernungen hinunter in die Stadt mit Strand, toller Altstadt und Einkauf nicht gross: ca 15min.

komfortable Villa im idyllischen Bergdorf

insgesamt wie erwartet, sehr gut. Die Villa bietet viel Platz, wenn auch nur eines der Bäder wirklich großzügig ist. Am Ort gibt es leider kein Geschäft mehr. Die beiden guten Restaurants sind dafür kein Ersatz, und die kurvenreiche Tour nach Rethymno (wo man natürlich alles bekommt) ist kein Katzensprung.

Tolle Villa mit großartigen Vermietern

Toula und Manolis sind großartige Gastgeber. Sie empfingen uns mit allen möglichen griechischen Köstlichkeiten, jeder Wunsch wurde schnell erfüllt. Die Villa war sehr sauber und wurde auch während der Woche nochmals gereinigt. Wir fühlten uns wie zuhause. Besser geht's nicht.

Super saubere Unterkunft mit herzlichen Eigentümer

Wir waren 8 Tage in der Villa, mit 8 Erwachsene und 2 Kindern. Das Haus hat für jeden genug Rückzugsorte aber auch genau so viel Platz um gemeinsam zusammen zu sitzen. Die Villa entspricht absolut den Bildern. Der Pool wurde alle zwei Tage gereinigt. Das Haus wurde in den 8 Tagen Aufenthalt zwei mal gereinigt. Es gab sogar Geschenke (Spielzeug) für die Kinder vom Eigentümer. Alle sind sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Als Willkommens-Geschenk wurde für uns gekocht und es standen kalte Getränke bereit😊 es war wirklich sehr schön und wir würden jeder Zeit wieder buchen

Schöner Urlaub

Sehr schöne Villa, an manchen Sachen erkannt man schon den Zahn der Zeit aber insgesamt ist alles da und funktionsfähig was man braucht. Die Villa ist etwas außerhalb gelegen aber trotzdem gibt es hier 2 gute Tavernen und bei einer kann man das Essen liefern lassen. Zusätzlich gibt es hier noch einen kleinen Supermarkt bei dem man das Nötigste bekommen kann. Mit dem Taxi kommt man mit 15€ in die Stadt und kann dort bummeln oder Einkäufe erledigen. Der Pool wird alle 2 Tage gereinigt und das Haus 2x Mal pro Woche. Die Besitzer sind sehr nett und erfüllen alle zusätzlichen Wünsche. Wir sind hier mit 7 Erwachsenen . Maximal würde ich hier 8 Erwachsene kommen da mit mehr Personen doch etwas eng wird. Wir haben die zeit sehr genossen und konnten uns gut erholen. Vielen Dank Very beautiful villa, Some things show the ravages of time, but all in all, everything you need is there and in working order. The villa is a bit out of the way, but there are still 2 good tavernas and you can have your food delivered to one of them. In addition, there is a small supermarket where you can get the essentials. With a taxi you can get into town for 15€ and can stroll around or do your shopping there. The pool is cleaned every 2 days and the house twice a week. The owners are very nice and fulfil all additional wishes. We are here with 7 adults. I would come here with a maximum of 8 adults because with more people it is a bit cramped. We enjoyed the time very much and had a good relaxing time. Thank you very much

Am Anreisetag begrüßten uns die Vermieter aufs Herzlichste. Die Villa ist ein Traum (abgesehen von ein paar kleinen Mängelchen). Von Oben bis Keller alles was man für den Aufenthalt braucht und SAUBER. Bei Fragen stehen die Vermieter sofort zur Verfügung. Top! Die Lage ist ziemlich mittig der Insel. Ca. 15 Minuten bis zu einem der Strände und den Einkaufsmöglichkeiten. Wir werden bestimmt wieder kommen und auch weiterempfehlen. Ein sehr schöner Urlaub war es für uns!

Mooie vakantievilla

We hebben een hele fijne vakantie gehad in Rosemary Villa. De villa is goed bereikbaar met de auto en een kwartiertje rijden van Rehtymnon. Rethymnon is een erg leuke stad om in rond te lopen en lekker wat te eten en drinken. De villa is ook een goede uitvalsbasis om andere uitjes te maken. Het eiland is werkelijk prachtig en de mensen zijn zeer gastvrij. De communicatie met de host, Toula en Manolis verliep heel prettig en goed. We zijn zeer warm ontvangen na onze reis door Toula met een enorm welkomstpakket en een warme maaltijd. De villa is heel comfortabel en komt overeen met de beschrijving en de foto's op de website. Wat ons betreft geen minpunten met betrekking tot de villa. Onze reis was in de herfstvakantie dus we hebben het zwembad helaas niet kunnen uitproberen, daarvoor was het te fris. 's Avonds was het soms wat koud in huis, met de open haard konden we het aangenaam maken. We komen graag nog eens terug.

Wir wurden sehr freundlich empfangen, mit einem gekochten Essen und einem vollen Kühlschrank überrascht. Das Haus ist sehr geräumig und gut ausgestattet, die Gastgeber sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit. Schöner Blick in die Berge und aufs Meer. Insgesamt sehr zufrieden.

A very relaxing and beautiful place 360 meters above sea level

We were 6 people who spend 2 weeks at this beautiful and big villa with a fantastic pool up in the mountains. The villa is located 9 mins. of driving from the beach road down in Rethymno up to the villa - and Rethymno Old Town and habour is approx. 17-20 mins. away from the villa. The amazing view and nice sounds (goats and sheep next door) were great - and there were no mosquitoes nor flies were bothering us. The local supermarket (i.e. convenience store) and the two restaurants were inexpensive and very nice to us with good food. The only thing that makes this villa 4 stars instead of 5 stars is that too many things didn't work properly - however, in all fairness the hosts were very nice and sweet to come and fix the problems right away - but there were too many things in total to give it 5 stars in our opinion. The hosts were very kind and had made us dinner with a lot of pre-shopping made for us for the fridge and other foods and organic local veggies. A very nice surprise indeed and very thoughtful when arriving thirsty and tired. Super! All in all - I highly recommend this beautiful villa and also the nice hosts - regardless of you go here as adults only or families with kids or you go across three generations. It is a great place to relax and enjoy the beautiful island and fantastic weather with a nice breeze from the mountains. PS Even though a car is required (or at least highly recommended) for renting this villa then the hosts can provide you with a good and friendly local taxi driver, if that is needed. Regards,

Perfektes Haus für den Urlaub mit einer großen Familie

Wir sind abends am Haus angekommen und von der Besitzerin sehr herzlich empfangen worden. Abendessen war bereits für uns gekocht und die wichtigsten Lebensmittel für die nächsten Tage eingekauft. Das war ein beeindruckender Start in einen schönen Urlaub. Das Haus ist geräumig und gut ausgestattet. Alle 3 Tage wurde geputzt und die Bettwäsche und Handtücher gewechselt. Der Pool wurde alle 2 Tage gereinigt. Es ist sehr angenehm sich im und um das Haus aufzuhalten. Das Haus liegt etwas einsam am Rande eines kleinen Ortes in den Bergen, etwa 6km südlich von Rethimno. Ein Auto ist unbedingt erforderlich um in die Stadt zu kommen. Haben mit 6 Erwachsenen und 2 kleinen Kindern sehr angenehme 2 Wochen dort verbracht.

A simply an perfect home.

Lovely family holiday!

9 of us spent a great week at Rosemary Villa, Toula was there to greet us on arrival with a lovely cooked meal and lots of goodies to start a week off! She was extremely helpful with advice etc on different things throughout our stay. The villa was well equipped and the 3 bikes added extra fun for those of the group that felt like a ride out. We visited the 2 local tavernas and little shop which are both in walking distance and enjoyed walks out in the local area, we used taxis when travelling further. Overall we had a very relaxing holiday at Rosemary Villa!

Just Returned July 2019

My family and I have just returned from a fantastic week's stay in this Villa in Crete. It's as good if not better than the pictures on the site. Clean, tidy, and big enough easily to accommodate our party of 7 adults. The owner (Toula) and her family were extremely welcoming, and waited for us to arrive in to the early hours of the morning after a slight flight delay at the airport, and had even prepared us food for us on arrival. The villa was cleaned a couple of times whilst we were there, including a change of all the bedlinen. Our host was available to us throughout the week and indeed helped us out regarding some of the local facilities. The property itself is up in the hills, and so extremely quiet and relaxing. Assuming you will want to get out and see the island I would suggest a car is a must, and the main town is only a 10 minute drive away. All in all we had a very enjoyable stay and would recommend this property to anyone. Thank you
