A family home for four generations with a magnificent view of the Loire Valley, located on the north bank between Tours and Amboise. A cave-like section to explore, a garden with outdoor furniture available, peace and quiet, nearby vineyards perfect for walks, and a small country road running along the hillside ideal for biking. An ideal little cottage for 2 people.

The house is located 12 km from Amboise and 17 km from the historic centre of Tours; it’s a great base for exploring nearby destinations such as Blois, Chambord, Chenonceau, Amboise, and the Clos Lucé to the east; Azay-Le-Rideau, Chinon, Rigny-Ussé, Villandry, and Langeais to the west; and many other places as well.

To get your stay off to a good start, you’ll find coffee, tea, sugar, and toilet paper on site. The “kitchen” area is equipped with a refrigerator, a microwave, an egg cooker, an induction cooktop, an electric coffee maker, a kettle, dishes, and two pots. I’ll take care of washing the dishes daily, as there is no sink. The bedroom has a comfortable 160x180 bed for two people with individual duvets and hypoallergenic pillows.

Bedding and towels are included in the rental price, as is a parking space in the lot.

In the heart of the village, you’ll find high-quality artisan shops, two bakeries and pastry shops, two delis, a produce and supermarket, a newsstand, a pharmacy, two hair salons, ATMs, and a supermarket with a petrol station. Vernou also has a bistro with takeaway, Le Vers Nous, a caterer, O’Tours de la Table, and a tobacco shop. The farmers’ market is held every Thursday morning.
