Slow down and enjoy the Loire in Amboise

Michel has created a wonderful cottage with PLENTY of space for a couple to relax after visiting the attractions of the Loire. There is an indoor dining area, a indoor patio with a dining table and sitting area, and an outdoor patio for BBQ, dining and relaxing.

Our Castle Tour

Michel’s property was just as seen on Viator. Modern bathroom, charming bedroom and our favorite, the 3 outdoor spaces! We used the solarium every day to plan our next castle tour! Easy access to the quaint town shops too! Thanks Michel!

Beautiful garden setting, can walk to town

We had a lovely stay in Michel’s bungalow. Lots of outdoor areas. One bedroom in main unit and one is in separate unit out back. One AC in main living area plus fan to blow into bedroom worked great. No AC in detached bedroom. Kitchen very functional with cooktop but no oven, just freestanding toaster oven that worked well. Kitchen well equipped. 1 mile walk to town. We thoroughly enjoyed our 5 nights.

An oasis in Amboise

The Chalet was such a surprise. It is really hard to visualize from the photos and it was so much better than we imagined. There are lots of different areas to sit in and with all the windows it feels really open. The garden was secure for the dogs and it really felt we were in the countryside even though it was only a 10 minute walk into the centre of Amboise with all its wonderful history, bars and restaurants. The owner Michel was fantastic, we speak only a little french and he speaks no english but with the help of google translate we had some lovely conversations and recommendations for places to eat and visit. We will definately return to Amboise.

Trotz unserer Spätanreise war alles perfekt organisiert. Vor dem Gartentor zur Ferienhaus gibt es einen Parkplatz! Das Ferienhaus selbst ist eher einfach, die Möblierung und die Ausstattung sind mit viel Liebe gestaltet. Das Ferienhaus befindet sich auf einem sehr schönen Grundstück. Prunkstück ist der sehr schön eingerichtete Wintergarten. Leider konnten wir diesen nicht vollständig nutzen, da bei unserem Aufenthalt eine Wolkenbruch Wasser in den Wintergarten eindringen ließ. Die Vermieter, ein sehr liebenswertes Paar waren allerdings sofort zu Stelle, um die Schäden abzustellen. Insgesamt eine sehr angenehme Location.

Trop trop calme, un silence de fou

Très bien , réception par le propriétaire dans les règles de l art. Bien équipé, j ai même trouve du scotch pour coller une enveloppe.tres bonne réception, bbq , TV, lave vaisselle, a 20 minutes à pieds du centre ville.

Écrin de verdure à quelques minutes du centre ville.

Chalet dans un magnifique jardin, très calme, sans vis à vis , à 10 minutes à pied du centre ville d'Amboise. Michel nous a accueilli avec tant de gentillesse et est très disponible pour nous donner les bonnes idées de visite.

Un chalet au calme

Nous avons passé un excellent séjour au chalet. Proche du centre d'Amboise, nous avons été très bien accueilli par Michel qui nous a indiqué des lieux pour manger le soir, les alentours à visiter. Nous avons apprécié la climatisation par ces fortes chaleurs du mois d’août en cette période de canicule. Nous n'avons manqué de rien. Merci

Our base for exploring chateaux

We used a translation app to communicate and all went smoothly. Grounds were lovely and home was stocked with everything we needed. A very easy walk to bakery and restaurants.

A great stay!

This is lovely, quiet, garden setting property with an excellent host who is exuberant about his city and even took us on a welcoming tour. There is a secure parking spot behind a locked gate. We drove into town and found parking convenient. We were so busy, we weren’t even able to make use of all the amenities that were offered. We would definitely stay here again. Michel was patient with our attempts to speak French with him.

Angenehmes Ferienhaus mit wunderbarem Garten

Das Ferienhaus ist zweckmäßig eingerichtet und verfügt über eine Küche als Pantry im Wohnraum. Darüber hinaus sind ein schönes sauberes Bad, ein gemütliches Schlafzimmer und eine verglaste Veranda vorhanden. Das schönste aber ist die Terrasse mit dem großen gepflegten Garten, in dem man zu jeder Zeit ein schattiges Plätzchen zum Lesen findet. Das Haus ist mit Air-Condition ausgestattet, so dass man auch an den heißen Tagen und Nächten dieses Sommers gut schlafen konnte. Der Ort Amboise mit seiner hübschen Altstadt und zahlreichen Restaurants ist nicht weit entfernt und idealer Ausgangspunkt für die vielen Schlösser der Umgebung.

What a lovely holiday

Had a lovely holiday at a lovely location with a very nice host. The chalet was probably better than advertised. It was very comfortable and a wonderful place to recharge the batteries. Would definitely recommend a visit here and hopefully we will return.

vacances a Amboise

My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful week at this quiet home in Amboise. It was a perfect size for the two of us. The bed was comfortable and everything was very clean. The garden and outside patio were very relaxing and even supplied a cat for extra atmosphere! On a rainy day, Michel took the time to give us a tour of the local farmer's market and country side. Mme. Michel was tres charmante and we had a lovely evening of local wine and gourmet appetizers together. We are cyclists and this was the perfect central location to visit many local chateaux and villages a velo. Amboise is a wonderful town with great restaurants, a beautiful castle and warm friendly people. The downtown is about 10/15 min. walk from the frontdoor I would definitely recommend this lovely cottage and would stay there again. Merci a Michel et Francoise pour des superbes vacances!

Very enjoyable

We just finished a one week stay at this wonderful cottage. Photos accurately depict what you get. Has all the necessary amenities. Ample dishes and cooking utensils. Lovely patio with a retractable awning. If the weather is a bit off there is a lovely three seasons sun room. Situated at the back of this well landscaped property provides a lovely quiet and private setting. Very clean and well kept. Only a 15 minute walk to the downtown area with a lot of wonderful restaurants. Close to the farmers markets. The host Mr Guillier was very accommodating. He was readily accessible and stopped by once to ensure everything was alright. Would definitely stay again

Une maison romantique à Amboise

Une belle maison avec un grand jardin à Amboise. Seulement dans la cuisine manque un four assez grand et chaud. On peut compter sur le propriétaire. Amboise est très joli avec des bons restaurants!

Lovely Cottage

The cottage was exactly as described. We were met by Michel's daughter Laurence, who was delightful. She explained everything and made sure we were going to be comfortable, as well as helping us with instructions to restaurants and the market for groceries. The cottage was very well equipped, and had all the necessary items to make our stay enjoyable. It felt like we were staying in the middle of a garden - so quiet and peaceful. We enjoyed being able to walk into the city center for dinner. Amboise is a great location to visit the castles. We visited 4 of the larger ones - which were all different and interesting. We also visited some wineries in Vouvray. We truly appreciated the concern of Michel and Laurence when we were notified of my mother's illness while staying at the cottage. Fortunately we did not have to return to the States. It was heartwarming to know that we had made new friends in France who cared about us and our family back home. We highly recommend staying at this lovely cottage and will definitely return if we are ever in this part of France again.

Erholung, Entspannung und Erlebnisse an der Loire

Wir haben uns in diesem Ferienhaus sehr wohl gefühlt. Die Beschreibung des Objekts in der Anzeige ist korrekt; ein kleiner Nachteil: es standen keine deutschen Fernsehprogramme zur Verfügung. Das Haus ist gepflegt und der schöne Garten lädt zum entspannen ein. Ein idealer Ausgangsort zur Besichtigung von Schlössern und Gärten und für Radtouren. Wir können diese Unterkunft sehr empfehlen.

La maison de campagne à la ville

environnement calme - pas de vis à vis - proximité du centre ville - lieu simple à trouver (pas besoin de GPS !!) - maison très agréable avec un côté estival dû aux grandes vérandas - multiples coins aménagés (à l' intérieur comme à l' extérieur) qui permettent de passer des moments seul si l' on veut se reposer - en temps que handicapé, maison agréable au quotidien (je suis en fauteuil roulant une partie de la journée) il faut cependant être capable de faire juste quelques pas avec des béquilles pour etre atonome. Je recommande cette adresse sans aucune réserve.

Très bonne situation !g

Nous sommes venus pour visiter les châteaux de la Loire et avons trouvé en effet le petit coin idéal pour déposer nos bagages et apprécier la Touraine. La maison est confortable et cosy, on s'y sent vraiment comme chez soi, c'est appréciable et le point fort bien que dans le centre d'Amboise, on est dans un petit coin de verdure, très appréciable quand on vient de Paris. Nous voulions visiter les châteaux et je pense qu'amboise est vraiment idéalement situé pour visiter la région. Nous ne reviendrons à cette adresse pour sur, car nous n'avons pas pu tout voir en une semaine.

Maison très agréable à vivre avec tout le confort

Nous avons passé un séjour très agréable dans cette jolie maison décorée avec goût et ayant eu beau temps nous avons pu profiter de ce très grand jardin et de cette superbe véranda. Nous avons eu un très bon accueil de la part des propriétaires qui sont charmants. Nous y reviendrons très certainement.
