Great place to stay! The kitchen is the best of any place we've stayed. It has everything you need. The location is close to everything, but just enough away from the hustle and bustle of the city. There's plenty of room to eat together, hang out together, or find your own space if you need some quiet time. Lots of attention to details to make your stay the best no matter what age. My 7 yo son loved the Fly Guy chapter book that was there.
This is absolutely diamond in the rough. We, truly enjoyed our stay. Very spacious and can accommodate a large family. We were close to all the activities that Pigeon Forge/Gatlingburg has to offer, but far away to have privacy. Highly recommend!
This cabin was absolutely perfect for our group. We were in the area as part of my son’s senior trip with his 2 best friends and their moms, my friends. The kids, 16-18, had the absolute BEST time hanging out in the game room, exploring around the cabin, and swinging in the swings. The moms enjoyed a well stocked kitchen for cooking our meals and a comfy living room. I would absolutely recommend this location to anyone I know who is going to the area. Our hosts were easily reachable, friendly, and a pleasure to communicate with. As a teacher, I happily give this cabin and host an A!
The cabin was beautiful, so spacious and had so much to offer! My husband and I took our teenage son and his 3 friends here for his birthday. We all enjoyed ourselves from meals at the large table, to fires with beautiful views, corn hole and swings on the deck! Enjoyed the hot tub, playing pool and pac man! The ownera were great with communication and checkef in often to make sure we were having the best experience possible. We will definitely come and stay again. Thanks again, Megan.!
There was something to do for everyone! It’s close to Pigeon Forge with so many other things to do…We couldn’t have asked for a better stay, will definitely stay here in the future!
Everything from the reservation process to checkout was a smooth, wonderful experience. The cabin is beautiful and had everything we needed for a group of 8! I would love to stay here again!
A quiet and beautiful location where the neighbors are at a good distance. Had everything we needed especially with it being located next to everything we wanted to do. Would highly recommend it for families.
Great Expectations is a great property for a family. Lots of fun stuff for the kids to do. Also, contact with the host was phenomenal - she goes above and beyond to make sure everything is good for your stay. We were there with family and when asked, the kids said they wanted to stay at the cabin and play rather than go out. Would definitely stay here again.
just wanted to stay at the cabin and play.
We had a great time during our stay. The listing was exactly what was shown in the pictures. Megan was super communicative, helpful, and responded quickly. I would recommend this spot to anyone, and I would gladly return.
We really enjoyed our stay! There was enough room for our group, and the kids loved the pool table and game system. The kitchen was fully equipped with everything that we needed. We will definitely book again!
Everything was BEAUTIFUL, so clean, and so comfortable. We had an absolutely fabulous time! We cooked several times, and the kitchen was very well appointed—we had everything we needed!
We did see a bear outside while we were there, which was a little scary for a sec since half our group was in the hot tub at the time, but it was absolutely fine, as the bear had no interest in us! It actually made our trip even better and a little more exciting!
Overall, we would stay there every year going forward if it’s available again! We have stayed at several cabins, and this one was the most comfy, clean, cute, and convenient of all of them!
We loved our stay at the wonderful cabin in the mountains. Close to Pigeon Forge and Gatlinburg and the Smoky Mountains.
Nice andd clean property provided with everyday basic requirements . Kids andd adults loved the Hot tub . Highly recommended.
It had been 15 years since my husband & I had been on vacation (honeymoon 15 yrs. ago the last time)! The cabin was outstanding! It had everything you could possibility need!! I traveled wirh my husband, our son, my brother-in-law, his wife, my sister-in-law, and her son (7 total people). We were able to make memorable family meals cooked at the cabin (all necessities were provided to make dinner) and eaten at the large dining table that allowed us to have great conversations, relax in the awesome hot tub, & reconnect by the campfire at night listening to the nature around us! The porch swing on the top deck was another great place to relax to read a book I found in the cabin's collection. The manager/owner of the cabin provided items not only for adults to enjoy. There were things for children of all ages (swings on patio area, cornhole, pool table, video games, movies for young and old, games, and variety of toys, etc.!! The cabin's seclusion is what was needed by this busy, non-stop, city school special education teacher/home caregiver who works 7 days a week! All pictures provided on website were very accurate! The manager was awesome, friendly, helpful, informative, and very personable when I contacted her to ask a question. I felt like I was talking to a friend or family member! We are driving home & I'm already planning my next trip back to the same cabin or to one of Around The Bends other 2 cabins because of the awesome experience! Thank you for the great 5 nights!
Highly recommend this home to stay with your family or friends. There are plenty of sleeping arrangements, great accommodations for young kids (high chair, pack n play, kitchen ware, toys), and overall clean and comfy home. The hosts were also great with communication before and during the stay, even helped with additional activity suggestions prior to our stay. We would book again, thank you for your hospitality!
We had a wonderful stay at the property. The managers were very helpful and responsive when we need to reach them. We had to evacuate for one night due to the recent fire, but Megan was in contact with me through the whole ordeal to offer suggestions and support. We would recommend this rental to anyone looking for a wonderful place in the smokies.
Megan was very responsive to any questions. The check in was super easy. The property was exactly as described, easily accessible and in a perfect location. Megan had everything we needed to prepare our family Thanksgiving dinner! We had a wonderful visit and would definitely recommend!

We are a family of five that loves adventure and exploration in the outdoors. We find purpose in helping others make memories pursuing adventures of their own while staying in one of our cabins! We can’t wait to share our beautiful cabins with you!
Why they chose this property
We fell in love with the Smokies! We have spent several years in the area with family, camping, tubing in the Summer, etc. We decided to invest in this property which has tremendous
What makes this property unique
Cabin is very spacious, three floors, four bedrooms, 2800 sq ft. Beautiful hot tub located off the back patio, adjacent to the game room with a rustic pool table and movie watching area. We've provided lots of our families favorite DVD's and hope you enjoy them as well. The large open concept main floor, large kitchen and tall stacked stone fireplace (gas) is what drew our eye at first! As we have spent more time in the home we love the space it offers to us - we can choose to be together, or when needed we have the space to spread out.
