Family Friendly Oasis Steps to Water - Heated Pool

Enjoy the peaceful oasis of Silver Beach from this casual, airy, 6-bedroom home. The house sits on a quiet street, perfect for long walks and bike rides. Only minutes' walk to Shell Beach and seconds to boat landing. We have 2 tandem kayaks located at the water for you to explore West Neck, Menantic, and Dickerson Creeks. Three bedrooms upstairs and three down, the space is perfect for two families traveling together or a single-family that likes to spread out. Two TVs, deck with grill, fast Wifi. New bedding in all rooms. Beautiful home, only a minute’s walk to kayaks, and a short stroll to one of Shelter Island’s most beautiful beaches.

Price is inclusive of utilities. Cleaning and pet fees additional

Note we have a one week minimum stay policy during our peak season (June - August). Ten (10) adult capacity is strictly enforced due to insurance limitations.

Load and start the dishwasher

Gather used towels

Remove personal items, remove leftover food and drinks and take out the rubbish

Turn off the lights

Kindly leave the key on the kitchen island, load and start the dishwasher, remove food from the refrigerator and cabinets and take out kitchen trash to outdoor bins. Thank you

If it seems a storm may be coming, kindly roll down umbrellas

Failure to complete these may result in a negative review from the host.

Quiet hours 11pm-7am Insurance limitations require there to be no more than 10 guests age 2 and above.

Originally from West Hartford, Connecticut, we are long-time, multi-generational lovers of Shelter Island (Kate's parents own a house here as well) and are delighted to now have this place to call home. We hope you enjoy our space as much as we do!

Why they chose this property

Brand new pool with marble patio, new landscaping, deck with grill, steps to the water on three sides; quiet street; Shell Beach! This is our favorite section of Shelter Island. A 6-acre bird sanctuary is located across the street from the home. No through traffic on our street allows for peaceful and safe bike riding and a quiet environment. Silver Beach has multiple access points to the water for boating, swimming, fishing, kayaking, clamming, sunbathing, and walking. An idyllic getaway.

What makes this property unique

We have two tandem kayaks (+life jackets and paddles) for your enjoyment, conveniently stored at the "Silver Beach Yacht Club" located only a 30-seconds walk at the end of the block! Beach is an easy 5 min walk/2 min bike ride away.
