Awesome property in an awesome location. Even though the weather was not great, we had a great time relaxing and enjoying the views. On the couple of occasions the weather improved, we went kayaking and had a swim. The owner went above and beyond to make our stay a very pleasant one. Highly recommended and will be back for sure God willing.

Family Holiday

The place we stayed was amazing. The main thing about the house was one you could just relax in and enjoy the surroundings. Wonderful ambience enhanced by the gas pit fire. I would recommend this property to anyone who is looking for a wonderful holiday. Jo Reading

Oakura beach vibes

Over all our stay was amazing. Local charter boat fishing with Justin Smith who stay just down the road was awesome to kick start our beautiful holiday. Enjoyed the sunand the waking up to the beach every morning was a bonus. Very kid friendly. Caterers for babies as well as children who did not want to leave. Oakura is such a beautiful place. Rain or shine we still had fun and made the most of it. Local cleaner was very approachable. I would definitely stay here again. Thank you for having us.

Wish we were still there!! Just amazing location and view. House has everything that you need.

We had a week there with friends(4 adults and 4 children). The house is set up great and amazing views (plus the sound of the sea). Bed rooms are separate so kids could play away from lounge and great backyard for them which is fenced. Lots of places to sit outside. A complete luxury to just walk a few steps and be on the beach. The only slight negative comment, which really only bothered one adult, were the cars that kept driving by in front of the house. It was fantastic and we would love to return. Thank you so much for a perfect getaway and great communication.

We're glad that you enjoyed your stay. The 1.5 lane street in front of our bach is for residents in the street and boat launching access to the beach. It can be a little frustrating when people drive down and straight back just "for a look" when they could park and walk and breathe in the sea air.

Just beutful

The house the scenery everything my family enjoyed so enjoyed.one minor thing though we didn't have any access to a laundry area at the house and I would have loved to have washed all the tea towels and stuff we used that was provided for us at the house. But other than that the home itself was just so beautiful even the houses aoura was beautiful can definitely tell it is a family home and it's comforting.

I'm sorry you didn't find the laundry. this is located in the garage and this is documented in the information pack and uses the same set of keys as the kayak shed (which you found). In the garage you would find a tub, near new automatic F&P washing machine and near new tumble dryer. We supply washing powder which you'll find there too. So glad you enjoyed your stay and sorry you didn't find the laundry.

OUR FAMILY BREAKAWAY AT OAKURA BOOK A BATCH

From booking through to exiting the batch, everything went like clockwork. The shower had such good pressure, the two toilets was a great idea. We sat on the front deck during the day when the sun was out and ventured round the back deck after dinner with the gas burner going outside, with the fairy lights and toast marsh mellows too. The kids were safe playing out the back to kick the ball around and chase bubbles, if they didn't want to play on the beach which is at your front door. This was the best family stay we have had in many years where it ticked all the boxes. I have no hesitation in recommending The Oakura Batch 100%

Perfect Beach Stay

We hadn’t stayed in Oakura Bay before but what a special place. The house was spacious, very well stocked and the location could not have been better. The kids were out every day on the boogie boards and we could enjoy the sight and sounds of the waves at all times of the day. Doug was a great host; well organized and very accommodating. Would definitely return and recommend to anyone.

Staying at Oakura

We had a fabulous 6 days staying here. The place is just lovely, and you don't even need to leave the property to feel that you are right on the beach. The owners have thought of and provided everything you might need or want for a great break away. They are also easy to contact and responsive should any issues or questions pop up.
