Mangawhai Heads Beachfront Holiday Home Sea Views

Quaint refurbished 1950's style retro holiday home with polished rimu wooden floors.

Two double bedrooms with comfortable king sized beds and a third smaller bedroom with one set of comfortable bunks. Perfect for a small family.

The house has a good sized brand new kitchen and lounge and a special holiday feel, perfect for summer - a traditional 'kiwi bach'.

It has spectacular, unobstructed views of the estuary, sand dunes and ocean beyond. You can even see when the surf is up when lying in bed looking out the window or when sitting on the couch!

Lovely sunny north facing deck. Being an elevated waterfront/clifftop section, there is direct access to a lovely sandy safe estuary beach via steps situated just a few metres along from the house.

Golden circle location handy to shops, cafes, first class 18 hole golf course and boat launching facilities with a flat 880 sq. m. site for off street car parking.

BBQ and outdoor furniture also provided and freeview TV.

Special conditions:
- three night minimum stay.
- Non smoking / no vaping Bach and site. No smokers or pets please due to owner having severe respiratory allergies.
- No groups, events, additional guests, tents or motorhomes.
- Cleaning is also arranged directly at $100 (floors, bathroom, beds, windows, oven).

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: do the dishes before you leave; clean the bbq if used, bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels).

Perfect Summer Break

Perfectly located between the Beach and The Village. Gorgeous outlook and easy walk to everything. The Bach had everything we needed for our short break.

Mangawhai Heads

This is an older Bach with an updated bathroom and kitchen overlooking the estuary. The beds were comfortable, as were the couches. The kitchen is very well equipped. There is no Wi-Fi. There is a lightly traveled public access path about 5-7 meters from the front deck.

Paradise just out of Auckland

We stayed at this amazing Bach just after new years, and we were treated to amazing weather for our trip. The view from the front deck is spectacular, and it's just 50meters from the stair access to the beach where we went for daily swims. There are lots of little walks around that all start and finish on the front yard. The beds were amazing and you can tell the house has been very well looked after and loved. Overall blown away by how nice Mangawhai Heads is and how awesome the Bach was. Thanks!

Quintessential kiwi bach

Super cute kiwi Bach with spectacular view. Location was perfect to estuary which was great for fishing and water sports if you have a boat. Love to stay again.

We had a week in this lovely little spot. It is in a perfect location with a fantastic outlook over the water and near the swimming spots and shops. No wi-fi which suited us but might not suit all. Would highly recommend.

The location was fabulous, beach right on your doorstep and really close to the little town centre! The house was as described, a kiwi bach. However, the bach wasn't particularly clean and needed a quick once over to make it respectable. There was also no door on the kids bedroom, which made bedtime a bit tricky especially as the bedroom is right next to the living room and kitchen. Saying that we loved our stay and for the price, location and overall holiday feel would definitely go again.

This is a fantastic "old school bach" property situated on the cliff top that we've rented on several occasions now. It has an amazing "infinity" view, one house away from the stairs to the estuary, 200m away from the central head shops, it is all about location. It's not modern in any way and it won't be to everyone's taste, but as far as a comfortable old style bach is concerned, this is right up there with the best. Thanks Cathy!

Old school cool. Throwback bach makes a very pleasant change from the home away from home rentals of today. Didn't turn the TV on once over our 3 night stay. Enjoyed immediate access to estuary for swimming whatever time of day, and shops a 2 minute walk. Too easy. View breathtaking every day. Loved it. Thanks!

The location is wonderful and our grand children had plenty of area to play outside.

The location is wonderful and our grand children had plenty of area to play outside. We were lucky enough to see the full moon coming up over the water and this was truly special. We had everything that was needed for a bach holiday and would return in the future.
