Relax in a stunning hilltop setting with magnificent views and a swimming pool, perfectly positioned in the beautiful countryside between Nelson and Abel Tasman National Park.

Tucked away at the end of a private drive, our peaceful farm offers a secluded rural escape where you can unwind and recharge.
The modern, spacious and comfortable cottage is fully self-contained and thoughtfully well equipped with everything you need for a memorable stay.

The 2 bedroom cottage is a true home from home and the perfect base to explore and experience the best of the region’s spectacular beaches, National Parks, wineries and walking and cycling trails.
Within easy reach, you can take a boat trip on the crystal-clear waters of Abel Tasman or an alpine walk with breathtaking scenery at Nelson Lakes or a wilderness adventure in the vast and untamed Kahurangi. Historic Nelson city, with its vibrant arts scene, cafés and boutique shops, is just 25mins drive.
After a day of exploring, return to your own peaceful rural retreat. Enjoy the beautiful swimming pool, outside patio and garden areas with seating for sun and shade. The unbeatable views across Tasman Bay and beyond provide a spectacular backdrop in every season.

For a cozy winter escape, the cottage has underfloor heating throughout and electric blankets to keep you warm and comfortable. Rainbow Ski Area is also a memorable day trip.

You’ll enjoy complete privacy, with friendly hosts nearby if needed. We’re always happy to share our local knowledge and recommend hidden gems to help you make the most of your stay.

The Cottage
Large comfortable open plan living room with smart TV, dining, kitchen area

2 Bedrooms: One master bedroom with a king-size bed and a second bedroom with two single beds. An additional single mattress is available for a fifth guest or a cot for under 2yrs.

Bathroom with walk-in shower.

Kitchen: Well-equipped with a microwave/convection oven, induction hob, dishwasher and large fridge-freezer. Please note there is no full-size built-in oven.

Laundry: Washing machine provided, airer and outside drying line.

Comforts: All bed linen and towels supplied, along with a selection of pantry essentials and everyday household basics.

Unlimited Wi-Fi included.

Selection of toys, games, DVDs, books and tourist information

Highchair and portacot with bedding available for infants up to 2 years.

Nice accommodation with a cottage-annex feel to it. Seating areas outside for when the weather permits, with a nice view over the Appleby area towards Nelson City. Not far from wineries, but do check that a) the wineries are open when you want to visit (for example, Neudorf not open at weekends!), and b) that they haven't closed down completely. Sadly, the NZ wine industry appears to be in decline.But, this accommodation is well-placed for visits to Mapua, Ruby Bay, and further afield to Kaiteriteri or Collingwood.

This is a lovely place in perfect condition with beautiful surroundings. The host gave us great restaurant recommendations (had dinner at the oldest pub in New Zealand). Only wish we could have stayed longer.

If you want amazing rolling hill s a beautiful place the hosts were incredible thank you guys !!!

Loved it. Private, stunning views, modern set up at the cottage and a great pool. It's a short drive to anywhere including Rabbit Island and the supermarkets. Lovely walks around the pine forest too. Highly recommended and will be back :-)

Stayed for 3 nights in winter and property was cosy and warm. All as advertised and great to have a well stocked kitchen with all extras that are needed. Cooking oil, salt and pepper, various tea’s etc, much appreciated.

Amazing Location, Amazing Property

What more could you ask for..... spotlessly clean top quality accommodation that is well equipped with everything you could need. The pool was the icing on the cake. We swam every day in the warm water. Our host (Gina) met us on arrival, introduced us to the property and local area. She was always available if we needed anything extra. We will definitely come back and stay again very soon. Love this place!

Absolutely Amazing

Had a gew queries sent email answered instantly, Easy payment options set in place also advised of when to pay by and refund options highlighted for us as well. Close to everything and also in the country very peaceful, relaxing, Tui's singing in the back ground, really beautiful sunny place luxury at its best.

A slice of paradise in the sunniest spot in New Zealand, Golden Hills is the perfect spot to day trip out to all the region has to offer. Just 25 mins to Nelson city and the airport and 15mins to Richmond. 45 mins to Abel Tasman in the other direction.
