About this property
The Cheeky Tui Holiday House
The Cheeky Tui is a character-filled property perfect for families. The house is sheltered, sunny and quiet with a large, grassy section. Well behaved and house-trained dogs are more than welcome. There is a Kent fire and heat pump for winter so the house is lovely and warm. The Fidgety Fantail holiday home, (also owned by us) is at the bottom of the driveway making it perfect for 2 families or friends to rent one each.
There's room for a boat and lots of space for children to run around and play. Covered outdoor eating area with great indoor, outdoor flow. The property is fenced and has many extras; trampoline, kayaks, DVDs, and board games. A portacot and high chair are provided. TV and phone.
Use this home as a base to see Rotorua sights as well as using the lake environment. The house is close to the Mountain Bike Parks too.
Close to good swimming spot at Cliff Road or Otumutu Lagoon. All day sun. Close to boat ramp.
Duvets, pillows and blankets are provided but guests are requested to bring their own sheets, pillow cases and towels.
Special conditions:
We ask that visitors leave the property clean and tidy.
Extras: Cleaning (Required, NZ$150per stay); NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels). Alternatively linen can be hired at $35per person per stay.

About the host
Hosted by NZTarawera
We are Steve, Nicole and Sam. Welcome to our little bit of NZ paradise.
Why they chose this property
After spending time with family in bustling Mt Maunganui, we wanted somewhere peaceful to retreat to .... a relaxing destination to escape to at holiday time. An internet search led us to the Cheeky Tui at Lake Tarawera. After 10 plus years of booking and renting the house ourselves and many lake friends later, we feel very fortunate to be given the opportunity to share this property with you.
We love our outdoor piece of paradise whether it is boating picnics, water sports, mountain biking, fishing to horse riding and hiking in the area.

What makes this property unique
Get back to nature and share in the bush and birdsong at the quiet end of the Lake. A boat ramp for launching your boat is only a quick 1 min drive away. Sheltered, family and pet friendly spaces - relax and enjoy paradise!
