The Tree House 1 or 2 bedrooms flats

Rarotonga is a round island with turquoise lagoon and lovely beach. We are in Arorangi the west side of the island, only 8 minutes drive from the capital Avarua and 5 minutes away from the Golf Course and the international airport (daily fly to/from New Zealand/Australia, one time a week direct fly to Tahiti and Honolulu). It is a quite place and safe area, as all the rest of the island. We are situated on the beach side of the island, just a minute walk to the beautiful white sandy beach
and breath taking sunset. Enjoy swimming and snorkelling in the blue/green lagoon. Sport lover can bike around in few hours (38 km). The area is full of outdoor recreational opportunities including boating, fishing, walking, diving, safari tour and scenic flight. You can also enjoy a whale watching, a shopping at the Punanga Nui Market where you will
be able to find local arts, hand crafts and the beautiful black pearls.
A Traditional dance show along with a taste of Polynesia food is held twice a week at the Edgewater Resort just next door to our house.
There are also food shops and restaurants at walking distance.

We were very happy with our little stay at The Tree House, everything was as expected. Lovely little hideaway, very private and close to the beach. Carlo was a wonderful host, nothing we asked of him was any trouble.

The Tree House accommodation was amazing and had everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen was well equipped with a fridge, microwave, and oven. The TV has one channel, but Carlo provided plenty of DVDs and a hard drive with movies on it. We didn’t even turn the TV on as we were too busy enjoying the beautiful island. The accommodation was clean, comfortable, and in an awesome location. Carlo and Roberta have been living on the island for 25 years, so they are very knowledgeable and provide the best information about the island and what to see and do.Carlo and Roberta are wonderful hosts. Our stay with them was everything we could have hoped for and more.

The property was in great location to beach and town. Place was very clean and well equipped with kitchen equipment and cooking facilitys, great outdoor areas with shade. Carlo was great to comunicate with if we ever needed anything. Would highly recommend this place to stay for holiday.

Carlo was an excellent host, he picked us up from the airport and dropped us to our next accom free of charge. The beach 1 min walk from the apartment is very nice and quite. The Edgewater Resort is right next door, perfect for a meal or a drink. Great stay.

Carlo our host was great to deal with. This is an older property in a great location. The house doesn't have a view but is a 2 min walk to the beach. It has a well established garden with big tree's that was great for shade. Its next door to the Edgewater on the south side all close to the airport and the main town. It handled myself and 2 teenage boys well.

The host was the star of this experience. We had some concerns about have a meal so late at night. Carlo helped us sort it out. The home was clean simple and everything we needed. Having 2 bedrooms with in room bathrooms was luxury.The internet was top notch. If you have a chance to stay , take it.

Cook Islands Retreat

We had a lovely stay with Carlo and Roberta. They have a good space with garden 1 minute from the beach with plenty of facilities around. Carlo picked us up from the airport and kindly dropped us off at the end and they were always ready with helpful information.We easily recommend others to stay.

Great for a family getaway

Nice location very close to the beach and edgewater resort. Kids enjoyed it and its got plenty of private outside room for them to entertain themselves safely. Friends at nearby resorts all said they'd prefer our accommodation for future trips.

Lovely wee flat under the treehouse, Carlo kindly let us keep our bags at the flat until we could check-in. Kitchen had everything we needed & I loved being able to watch movies stored on a hard drive, not many places have this facility. We were able to wash our clothes also plus a dryer to use if needed. There was a path at the end of the drive towards the beach that took you directly to the beach where we watched the sunset & whales morning & evening. Best snorkeling at Aroa. Walked to a nearby resort for happy hour cocktails. Carlo gave us some delicious Island passionfruit.

The worst place I have ever stayed in. Arriving to find all the windows thrown wide open should have alerted me that something was not quite right. Entering the flat confirmed this. It had a horrible musty smell as though it had been locked up unaired for a year. The same smell permitted the flat and came from the kitchen cabinets and bedroom closet when opened. A cockroach ran from under a hat I had placed on the living room couch. I open the kitchen draw daily to see cockroaches crawling over its contents. The flat was infested with cockroaches and bugs.I was not happy with a connecting door between the flats, held shut with a piece of board which offered no privacy. The owner who lives upstairs monitored my movements daily and would go into the flat while I was out, without telling me. In the mornings I found the floor littered with dead roaches. I left the flat one day and came back to find my electric toothbrush broken.The electricity went out day and night, even while doing breakfast. The owner irritatingly banged on the floor above night and day. Very poor upkeep, broken tiles on the living room floor, the flat needs to be renovated.

Awesome spot

We had a great time at the Tree House. Location was awesome for us. Gave us room to chill.put as a family. Was a very short 2min walk to the beach. . Carlo the hosT was awesome aswell. And helpful. 100% RECOMMEND.

Great Location in Rarotonga

What a great find - The Tree House is a perfect place to stay. 2 minute walk to beach and 2 resorts handy with a short walk along the beach. Carlo was the perfect host and the flat was sunny and private. In my opinion much better than a resort . We will be back.

Carlos is wonderful!

Carlos did everything he could to make our stay fantastic. Recommendations, meeting all our needs, and hosting us beautifully. It is so close to the beach and very private. The kitchen had all the necessary amenities to do our own cooking. Will be back!!

Treehouse accommodation

The host Carlo was lovely, very helpful. Accommodation itself was very clean and everything we expected and more. The beach was at the end of the driveway, one of the main bus stops was 3 doors down at Edgewater. We ate most of our meals at the table outside. Filtered water available on tap. Would recommend staying here.

Peaceful

Aloha! Carlo's place is a peaceful oasis with a short stroll to the beach. I enjoyed dinner on the patio at night, the amenities of a full kitchen, beach supplies, and a spacious place. Carlo is responsive in communication and kind. He shared his knowledge of the area and nearby restaurants. Carlo kindly picked me up from the airport on the night of my arrival. I appreciated my time at the Tree House and would stay again!

Tree House in Arorangi

The house is comfortable and well equipped. It is a very short walk to the ocean, where you can walk on the beautiful beach. Carlo picked us up at the airport and stopped at the grocery store so we could get some provisions for our stay and also showed us a few restaurants close to the house. He also brought us back to the airport when we left. We rented a car, which I think is necessary to really see the island and to get to good swimming beaches and restaurants.
