Great condo. Clean and spacious. Well stocked with towels, beach chairs and boogie boards. The only downside was we weren’t able to enjoy the large patio. This unit did not have any patio furniture as shown in photos.

Great Stay

Full kitchen in ilikai tower

The reason to stay here is the full kitchen. As the listing says this really is not a one bedroom unit but more like a studio. And the ilikai is a nice place with a great ice cream shop!

We didn’t have water for a period of time, which isn’t a big deal but we would have liked to know that before booking as it was scheduled water shut off. And then we didn’t have power for almost a whole day and that was super annoying. I would probably stay there again but not longer than a few days because you do run out of things and they won’t replace them. Just meh experience, nothing spectacular to rave about.

Great location

The apartment is in a great location, unfortunately the intense noise of the cars at night and the song of the pigeons very early in the morning that insist on staying on the balcony make it difficult to rest. The apartment is older and smaller than what you see in the photo, but the location is very good.

The place was outdated. The patio doors stuck. It was very hard to open and closed. My granddaughter got stuck outside and it took us over 15 minutes to try to push the door open for her to get back in. They have no dressers to store any of your clothes.

Plus was that we were close to the Ala Moana Center and the beach was close and quieter than the Main area Had trouble getting TV to work and aircon issues but an email to maintenance got a quick response Easy check in ..all info via email Minuses were the noise from main road, really noisy aircon Apartment is clean enough but getting tired. Would have liked a drop off of clean linen without asking as we were there 10 nights

Reviewer Comments: Our family was in Hawaii for a wedding and we chose the Ilikai Hotel as it was centrally located to the beach and shopping, and on a bus route with the airport so we did not need to rent a car. The room adequately accommodated the 3 of us and was very clean. The kitchen was well equipped with dishes and cookware for when we chose to eat in. I had a problem with the shower door during our stay and called the management company. They sent someone out and the problem was fixed in a very short time. The person who came out was polite and respectful. I would definitely stay with your rental group again on any future trips to Hawaii.

Reviewer Comments: Overall condo was exactly what we were expecting.Easy check in and comfortable beds.We enjoyed the pools and easy access to the first floor market and coffee. The dishwasher leaked but mgt responded immediately to fix it. Overall the unit was clean but the kitchen and bathroom floors could use a more thorough cleaning.(I might not have noticed without the leak.) Valet pkg was not available for condo renters so we used a lot by Red lobster 1/2 block away. Cheaper and no waiting for your car to be brought around. Overall a better option for us. One recommendation is to have a drying rack or more hooks to dry out beach towels.

Overall, I do not recommend this vacation rental. Reviewer Comments: Just like all the other reviews say, the unit is dirty. Walls, floor, cabinets inside and out. The kitchen sink smells really bad and the inside of the cabinets as well which makes the dishes smell bad. The unit is equipped with everything and the bed sheets and bath towels were clean. The unit being on the city side, is very loud. If you sleep well at night, you shouldn’t have any issues but otherwise, it gets pretty loud. Overall it was okay, but I wouldn’t rent this room again. Needs a lot of updates and a good scrubbing as the cleaning you can tell it is done superficially.

Even though the property is a little dated (some scratches and marks on the walls) it was clean and had the basics for cooking. The A/C unit worked well, was just VERY loud. I needed maintenance twice, for 2 minor things, and someone responded quickly, and fixed the issues right away. This seems to be the best value in the area, as for what you get for your money. Really can't beat the location!

Easy, contactless access after many emailsCondo walls could have used painting-looked dirty, and upgrading needed in unit. Air conditioner very noisy, sliding doors needed cleaning to open better.Clean unit except for wall appearance and old fixtures. Folding doors to separate living/bed area was open at top so noise was not as contained as viewed before on site. No cooperation from hotel, rude when asked about restaurant, spa, etc. Convenient to city areas but our view was over main street-very noisy when sliding doors open. Went second week in Feb which was good. Stayed 1 week and started getting very busy-elevators very slow, lots of kids overtaking the pool, restaurant hard to get in. Was good access to obtaining ubers, tours, etc.Agreed to rental price then next email another fee of $153.00 added.Unit kitchen equipped sufficiently

A decent deal

This is a good basic accommodations in a history-filled, but a bit run-down hotel/condo. If you are expecting the Ritz-Carlton and hob-nobbing with the beautiful on Waikiki, this is not the property for you. It is a serviceable condo that could use a paint job and a fix of the leaky kitchen sink. But, the small problems that we encountered were communicated easily and fixed without incident. The city/mountain view is pretty, but a bit loud.

Bare minimum

This property had the bare minimum. They don’t tell you until checking in that they only provide limited soap, toilet paper, dishwasher detergent, etc. You are attached to a lovely hotel but are unable to use any of the hotel’s front desk amenities (fresh towels, gym, etc). The floors were filthy during our stay. It was advertised to comfortably fit 5 adults. We were so crammed that we ended up purchasing an additional room at the hotel. If you are a family - there is limited privacy and space. Would recommend for no more than 3 individuals. Location is wonderful, located near an easy beach access and parking lot that’s free until 10:30pm. Would not book through this company again.
