Easy communication with the host. Very helpful. Great spot. Loved the space. Lots of character- such an adventure. Wish we could stay longer. Convenient to everything. Great holiday spot for a family. Thank you. We had a great time staying.
Host met us there went over the property, no power on saturday due to storm came over to give us lights really grateful. Enjoyed our time there hope to stay again
We all enjoyed our stay at the houses it was lovely being been a skip away from the beach the accommodation was excellent for our family’s weekend away thankyou Wade
Was enjoyable as we love the ocean. Big enough for a family of 7, just needs more chairs, especially to sit on the deck and needs an upstairs shower. We all loved the lift!
An absolute amazing place to stay Wade was such an amazing host who went above and beyond for us, this batch is a proper kiwi batch and we had the best family weekend, making memories and being together in such a beautiful place, everything you could possibly need plus so much more. Thank you Wade it was a honour to stay in your batch, and we will definitely be back
This place has a magical feel, we loved sitting on the deck watching the kids jumping into the river, the sun going down, and saying kiaora to the locals walking past. Its an old school traditional bach, so back to basics amenties, and probably needs a reno downstairs to get rid of the musty smell, and the slaters in the batheoom might suggest theres wood rot somewhere. Wade was very friendly and put up with my questions, and even sent my mum her phone that she left there.
The house was ok, the bedrooms could with a bit of love it had everything we needed but it did have a strong musty smell especially in the downstairs bedrooms and upstairs as you walk towards to the bathroom. Apart from that the house was great, very spacious and plenty of room.
Make sure to stock up on supplies in Te Puke as there is a small dairy, a fish n chip shop which closes at 7pm and a cafe that doesnt open until 9am... this is definitly for those who prefer to get away from the noise to wind down and chill from city life if thats what you prefer... Tauranga, Papamoa and the Mount are about a 20 to 30 minute drive away
Me and my family were disappointed because our accomodattion was canceled due to being double booked. Our host Wade informed about the situation but it was too late for us to find accomodattion in short notice. I have to post it on fb desperately to have any luck because it was getting dark and cold. My husband blame me for everything and I blame myself for that. I won't recommend this website to any of my family. The stress I've been through because trying to find a place to stay in short time is unbearable. VERY BAD SERVICE UNRELIABLE WEBSITE
This whare is an iconic Kiwi beach bach set right on the beautiful Maketū beach front.
A lovely, homely space with all the mod cons to make a weekend away at the beach all that it should be! Perfect place to kick back and take in the beautiful views of Te Moana a Toi.
My whānau loved their weekend here, and will definitely be back - they reckon “Book us in for Xmas!”
Thanks Wade for the great comms, and leighway on the dates. Champion!

Highly recommended
This bach has a wonderful view from it's balcony overlooking the beach. In my opinion you could spend your entire time out there in the balcony.
The bach owner was very helpful and was always available for any queries. He made sure we had all the supplies so as to make everything convenient for our stay.
The bach also has ample parking space. I would highly recommend this bach!!
