This warm 5 bedroom townhouse is close to family-friendly activities, nightlife, and public transport. With great views of Mt Ruapehu and the farmland with Alpaca next door, you'll love the location, and the ambiance. We are at the bottom of Mt Ruapehu and around a 20 minute drive to the Turoa Ski Field. Located in the heart of the Junction and easy walking to the Powder Keg and other restaurants.
Lots of off street parking. Walking distance to the Ohakune train station. Shuttles will pickup from, and drop off to, your door for Tongariro crossing and skiing. Walking distance to Ski and Board hire shops. Next to Ohakune Old Coach Road Mountain bike trail.
A modern, warm and cosy 5 bedroom apartment. Upstairs is an open plan full kitchen (microwave, fridge, freezer, stove, oven, dishwasher), lounge (TV, Micro stereo, Fire, leather couch) and dinning room table seating 6 upstairs. Includes full kitchenware such as glasses, pots/pans, plates, cutlery etc. There are also 3 separate large bedrooms (one with ensuite) and 2 x bathrooms (shower and toilet). Located downstairs are a further 2 x large bedrooms with LCD TVs, and a bathroom with shower and toilet.
There are wonderful views of Mt Ruapehu from the upstairs lounge and deck.
Ohakune is an adventure playground in both Winter and Summer and a great place for your base to explore nearby activities such as:

- Cycling and Mountain biking
- Fishing - many famous Trout Fishing Rivers nearby

Perfect stay

The property is well maintained and in a handy location, close to restaurants, cafes and supermarket. Very prompt communication with the owner who is very accommodative. We were 11 and has plenty of space in the house. Would highly recommend this property.

Family Ski Trip

Good amount of beds and rooms for guests the living space is quite small. Perfect location to the mountain. Would be helpful to have local eateries information in room so guests can book as required, fully booked and fully reserved over the busy ski weekend. We wanted to clean the rooms before leaving and did not have available, lucky we bought our own. Thank you we enjoyed it very much.

Perfect set up for 3 families

We had a work team ski weekend and needed accom for 3 families with kids, this place was perfect as each family group had their own bathroom. The owner was great to deal with, prompt and detailed information, we made a few changes to our booking prior and nothing was a problem, including specifying rooms which needed the extra trundle beds etc. Thanks again.

Great experience for our large group

Great property for our really big family. We were 11 in total and found there was ample sleeping place. Well kitted out property and very clean. The manager/ owner was a pleasure to deal with, from great pre arrival info to going out of his way to organise us a replacement toaster ( within a few hours) when the second one in the house stopped working. We would recommend this property and will definitely be back.

Great place for a large group, loved the drying room came in really handy after a day on the mountain, only negative was the toaster was broken and not been able to access until 3pm, 2pm would’ve better, especially when travelling with young children

Ohakune weekend

Nice place to stay with 5 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms for 10 people. Living space is cosy, but idea is spending most of your time outdoors! Close to railway and Powderkeg end of town, but good walk into town center. Would stay again with a biggish group.

Winter getaway

This was my xmas gift for all my family so we had looked forward to it. We had 1x10yr girl & 1x 15yr boy, new merged family so bed situation didnt work. Girl ended up sharing new nanas bed and teenager with another adult! Not ideal. As it said accom slept up to 13 we were disappointed. On checkout day we found pullout beds under queens? Weren't shown this. Drying room door no handle and broken drawer handle. Oven top struggled as temps all over place. Could do with a good size electric pan to overcome problem. Beds clean and comfy. Beware of downstairs shower head tho? Wore full frontal cold shower when turning on as shower head was left facing door! About a 15min walk to town. Staff lovly.

Good parking, great room size

The weather was good for skiing, restaurants close by had variety menus the accommodation was adequate for us all. The Ohakune shopping centre is not close by to get large groceries. The Thermal hot pools at Tokaanu is a must.

We had a great family holiday (4 families over 2 apartments) even though mountain conditions weren't favourable. The set up was perfect for all of our needs...enough space to spread out and have privacy as well as being together. Well equipped kitchens and lovely and warm.. Highly recommend having your get together here!
