About this property

PLATEAU COTTAGE modern and comfortable

PLATEAU COTTAGE is located in the peaceful settlement of Rangataua, a great base for skiing, mountain biking, hiking and horse riding. Also plenty of trout fishing to be done in the area with Lake Taupo 1 hour away.
The roomy living area is perfect for socialising, it has a well outfitted kitchen with breakfast bar and lots of storage space for your supplies, and a very comfy L shaped lounge suit.
Comfortably sleeps 8. The bunks are hand built, solid and strong. 1 king single bunk and 1 single bunk.
There is a large walk in shower, room for 2 or a pack of kids (instant gas hot water), and 2 separate toilets.
The house is heated by an effecient log fire, (lots of wood in woodshed), and panel heaters in the bedrooms and hallway.
Freeview (satelite) TV and TV with DVD in bunkroom.
There is a custom built kids playground.

Have large living room, inside appliances are new and tidy. Much better than our expectation. And close to turoa ski field. The only small thing is it doesn’t have wifi

Great little house perfect for snow trip

Perfect little house for a snow trip. Kids 2 and 4 loved the bedroom with dvds and wooden train set and playground in backyard. Adults enjoyed the comfortable lounge with fireplace. Drying room was great too.

Great stay at a warm and welcoming house

Had a great time at Plateau Cottage. Really clean and perfectly set up for families - lots of space, fenced section and play equipment. Really warm home - we had the fireplace cranking in the evenings and it warmed the house up really quickly. Also had everything you need (kitchen basics, cleaning supplies, baby change mat etc). We loved our stay here and would gladly come back for future snow trips. Thanks Karen!

We had a wonderful stay at Plateau cottage. Was lovely & warm with a log fire, very well equipped (great drying room) & our 4 yr old loved the wooden train set. Would definitely stay again 😊

This is a perfect spot and a nice modern house with everything you could possibly need.

This is a perfect spot and a nice modern house with everything you could possibly need. We just shot down for a days skiing, and it was nice to be able to relax for the evening in front of the fire and enjoy a yummy roast. Saved money by not having to go out. Scooted down the back road to Ohakune which took no time at all. Cant wait to stay again. Awesome and thanks.

Plateau perfection

This is a great spot! Exceeded our expectations. Heaps of space and great amenities. Hands down the best accommodation we've had for a ski trip in Ruapehu district to date. We'd love to come back. Great kitchen Great fire Great living/dining area Huge bedrooms Comfy beds What more could you want?!

Warm and Cosy

We really enjoyed our stay - we had terrible weather, not much good for getting up the mountain, so it was excellent that we had a very well insulated and heated house to stay in, with lots of firewood in the woodshed, great kitchen facilities, and space for everyone to be inside but not be tripping over each other. Rangataua is a great wee spot too - nice and quiet, but close to Ohakune for the supermarket, etc.
