About this property

Seaviews, mountain views and sunsets

Come and enjoy our refurbished and spacious family home. With all day sun and sea views it's the perfect place to unwind. It's warm with great indoor/outdoor living and with two newly installed heat pumps it's perfect for any season!

Otaki is the perfect escape, with its quaint shops and cute cafes and restaurants. Yet it's still only 1 hours drive from Wellington!

Our house is perfectly located, one street back from the beach and just a 5 minute drive from the main shops. At the end of our street you'll also find a convenience store. Our house is well spaced and split over two levels. Upstairs has two balconies both with sliding doors, allowing you to soak up the views over the Kapiti coast or at the rear with a BBQ looking over the wetlands.
Upstairs is the main living area with the kitchen, dining room and lounge (Tv with freeview and DVD). There's also the master queen bedroom and bathroom. Downstairs has a large games room (perfect for that odd rainy day) with a Tv (freeview and DVD) and sofa which doubles as the sofa bed. There are the two bedrooms, twin (1 single, 1 king single) and the queen, a toilet and shower and the mudroom with a washing machine. There is plenty of outdoor space at the rear with access to Waitohu stream, perfect for whitebaiting (small children must be supervised as it's not fenced). We have a kayak and life jackets, ideal for the stream or a small walk to the beach!

For your convenience all linen and towels are provided.

Otaki has plenty of local amenities and activities!
- Surfing, tramping Otaki Forks, gym (casuals welcome), indoor pool, horse riding, kayaking, outlet stores and cafes- just to name a few!

Over Christmas and new year a minimum stay of 5 night

If the house isn't left in good condition an extra cleaning surcharge will be applied.

Fantastic place to stay

The property was super clean, had everything we needed, the beds were very comfortable and great shower. The views to the beach and over Waitohu stream are fantastic, sat outside in the afternoon sun with a glass of wine. Very relaxing, we had a great time at the beach, walking along the river, walking around the streets and wandering through the town. We will definitely book this property again.

Warm, clean and relaxing

This is our second time at this property and it never disappoints. We spent more time in the house this trip because it was windy and it is just so relaxing, staring out at the stunning view. The street is quiet and the house was so warm and spacious.

Comfort and Sunshine

My daughter and I found the property to be clean, comfortable and warm. We had a lovely trip - the house was great except we had two infants with us and we had to keep the upstairs sliding doors shut as the gaps of the railings were a safety issue (too wide). Other than this we thoroughly enjoyed our stay thank you😊

Just what we needed

My husband and I, along with 2 adult children and my mother wanted a local base for my son's wedding in Otaki. This house proved perfect for our needs. It was warm, quiet, clean and comfortable. I needed space to ice and decorate a large number of the cupcakes for the wedding so having a decent sized kitchen, dining table and a fridge big enough to store them in was important. There was also space enough for other family members to arrive early and get changed for the wedding on the day. As well as ticking these boxes, the house provided a serene resting place after a very busy day travelling there and also the day after the event. I loved having views in 2 directions to feast my eyes on.

This house was such a short walk from the beach and the beach was amazing. The only suggestion I have is a new can opener as the one there we found super hard to use.

Nice house, good location

Nice house that easily accommodated two families. Separate living areas upstairs and downstairs which was handy on such a stormy weekend. Very close to the beach, easy walk. Weather was horrible but the house was very warm.

I have lived in Otaki for 10 years with my Husband and Daughter.
My daughter has been living overseas of the last 4 years and wanted to buy a house in Otaki for when she returns home. She bought this house and I look after it for her she wanted to do bookabach so people could enjoy the house and views.
