Wonderful private beach that is sandy - just as described. Tranquil, lots of dark sky for star gazing. The house is comfortable and spacious for a family of four. Would recommend to anyone hoping for a nice cottage vacation or a nice spot to stay while exploring Manitoulin!

Thé beach house was wonderful. It was nice and spacious. We were six adults with very comfortable beds. The art work in the beach house is amazing . The beach made you feel like you were at the oceanfront. It is a remote location and it was so peaceful, just the sound of the waves. Thank you Petra .

Great location! Isolated beach makes for a quiet nearly private waterfront. Water is chilly but clear sandy shores and beach. Great campfire spot. Only 20 minutes from Minemoya (groceries, hardware store, gas station, laundry). Worth mentioning that even though it’s mentioned in the listing there is no washer or dryer at this location. Definitely will go again.

My family had a wonderful stay at the Beach House! Conveniently located close to amenities in Mindemoya, the property offers a beautiful sand beach with plenty of seating, as well as kayaks and a canoe and a nice, large firepit area. The house is modern with lovely decor and is well equipped with everything needed for a comfortable and relaxing vacation. The hosts are very responsive, welcoming and friendly! Highly recommended!

Bill and Petra live near the Beach House and are available for questions or local information. "We are a retired couple but still very active with two dogs, Skip, a 14 year old border collie mix and Jake a 3 year old Australian Shepherd. "

The wide expansive shoreline for our property is a half mile long with 200 miles of open water to the south and Michigan about 30 miles to the south and west.
Lots of opportunities for wild berries, deer, rabbits, birds and other wildlife. The winter shoreline is lined with icebergs offering great photo opportunities

What makes this property unique

The beach and shoreline are special, also the big waves from time to time and the presence of wildlife and many birds. It is a private area and offers a quiet get-away. Yet, a major grocer is only 20 minutes away, along with other shops and several golf courses
