Loved our stay

We really enjoyed our stay at this beautiful cottage on the shore of Lake Huron. Jane was a great host who answered our many questions about the surrounding area and local wildlife. The view is breathtaking. Our kids loved playing out on the rocks and looking for crayfish in the many calm inlets.

Spectacular

Absolutely beautiful property, both the cabin and surrounding environment. Everything was as described and yet the descriptions cannot capture the extent of the place. We felt immediately at home with the well-stocked household of kitchen supplies, books, games, firewood, and candles. There was a constant gentle breeze to keep bugs away, so we spent much of the daylight hours reading and daydreaming on the wide porch or exploring the shoreline. The outhouse was clean and free of unpleasant smells, and the outdoor shower was sublime. We cooked a variety of meals (thanks for the eggs and wine, Jane!). At night, we ate under candlelight and the fire from the wrought-iron wood stove. Fireflies were in abundance every evening. We also enjoyed going out after the moon set to look at the brilliant night sky. Saw shooting stars and the Milky Way. We had a great time!
