Harrington Hideout is a newly renovated home on the shores of Tatamagouche Bay. Warmest ocean waters north of the Carolinas. A bird watchers paradise where you can enjoy hummingbirds at the feeder or watch eagles fish the coastline. Enjoy beach combing for oysters, beach glass and hermit crabs. If stargazing is your thing we have a telescope to add to fun. An outdoor shower overlooking Tatamagouche Bay will melt your stress away. Jost Vineyards is 5 minutes away. Ski Wentworth is a 25 minute drive. Enjoy 3 oceanfront golf courses within 30 minutes: Fox Harbour, Northumberland Links, Wallace River Golf and Brule Point Golf. 10 minutes is the Trans Canada Trail for ATVs, hiking and biking. The breathtaking Blue Sea Beach is a 5 minute drive!

My wife and I found this to be one of the most relaxing holidays we have had in a long time. With the location being a place in which there was little noise, the peace and quiet was just what we needed. The facilities were more than adequately furnished and had everything we needed for a home away from home vacation. Though we were able to cook all the meals we wanted in the well stocked kitchen, I would suggest at least one meal at each of Wiley's By The Wharf in Wallace in Big Al's Family Restaurant in Tatamagouche would be a nice addition to your stay. If you want a nice quiet getaway where you can just relax and hang out, then this is a place you will want to consider. BTW the internet is great in case you want to still check out what is happening in the rest of the world.

What a wonderful place to spend a few days.The house is beautifully furnished and has a fabulous fully stocked kitchen. It was so easy to check in using the key code that Jeff provided. The view of the bay from the house and deck were the icing on the cake.

Cost Hideaway

Fantastic location, cozy cottage, and a very relaxing stay. The cottage is in great condition and well stocked with items you will need when away from home. We stayed in the dead of winter in the midst of several storms and the cottage offered a great view for storm watching.

Beautiful Relaxing Cottage

Beautiful decor and charming cottage. The kitchen has everything you need. Jeff was great in telling us to feel free in using the condiments there. The beds were comfortable and our evenings sitting on the deck were relaxing. Our time there was short as we had a wedding at near by Fox Harbour Resort. We definitely plan on returning for a longer visit and take in some of the near by golf courses. Thank you Jeff your place is beautiful!

Jeff will take you on a local culinary journey to a local winery, Jost or a local brewery, Tatamagouche to wet your whistle. Then enjoy either local mussels or oysters & lobster rolls overlooking the Wallace River.

Why they chose this property

Jeff & Sharon are from Malagash and love everything about the North Shore of Nova Scotia. This is a 4 season area with fresh lobster in the summer, skiing at Wentworth in the winter, enjoying fresh produce in the fall and getting out on the local golf courses in the spring.
