Ken & Diane were extremely pleasant and welcoming as we checked in. We stayed for 2 nights as we visited Hershey Park and thoroughly enjoyed staying in such a lovely home. The kitchen was outstanding and this historic home was so clean, comfortable and private. Would definitely stay again… (really enjoyed the private balcony porch for morning coffee).
My husband and I enjoyed our stay so much. Sitting of the front porch, watching the barn swallows fly by and the goats grazing in the field. It was very relaxing. The beds and bed lines were so comfortable. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking supplies. Thanks so much to our hosts for the walking/hiking suggestions. We are hoping to stay here again.

Wonderful Place, Super convenient to Spooky Nook
We had a lovely stay. Perfect location and space for a weekend sports tournament at Spooky Nook. We would definitely stay here again. This was so much better than a hotel room - super clean, a kitchen and laundry.
Stayed for an event at the Nook. This sweet home is perfect! Location is just up the street. The house is clean and honestly stocked with everything you may need. A handwritten note and cookies welcomed us. We will be back. Thank you for a wonderful place to stay.
The place was immaculate and the hosts made it so welcoming (including baked goods and bottled water). The beds were super comfortable and everything you could need was provided. It is only 7 minutes from Spooky Nook and near good restaurants.
We had a wonderful stay, everything was perfect. Warm, cozy, very clean. Hosts are very sweet. Beautiful home, inside and out. We can’t wait to go back, loved everything!!!
A fantastic place to stay both inside and outside. From the peacocks on the grounds and history of the house to strolling through Amish country, we thoroughly enjoyed our stay here. The extras provided by the hosts capped off the hospitality we felt and we would definitely stay here again!

Felt like home!
We enjoyed staying at this wonderful historic home. The fireflies and peacocks were beautiful, and the location was perfect! Only 3 miles from Spooky Nook sports center. Thank you to the owners for being gracious and welcoming.
We so enjoyed our stay in this beautiful historic home in the country! Relaxing and clean! Surrounded by a lovely variety of trees and flowers AND a beautiful peacock!
Everything was perfect from the linens and towels, to cleanliness and the beauty of the country setting. Would love to go back. We loved the huge selection in the game cabinet.
Last year when we traveled to PA for a tournament at Spooky Nook, we stayed at a hotel 30 minutes away from the venue. This was so much better and only a few minutes down the road.
Beautiful old home with stone fireplace. Peacocks on property were gorgeous! The rental is a portion of the home and the owners live in the other portion. We never heard them!
We cannot thank the owners Ken and Diana enough for affording us the ability to stay in their beautiful home in Mt. Joy. When we pulled up to the house, I literally questioned if we were at the right place due to how historic and beautiful the place was! It just took our breath away, from the grand outside with the stone facade, corbel detailing, perfusion of flowers, and front porch filled with rockers to the charming inside with the stone hearth, beamed ceilings, and comfortable furnishings. The personal touches by this very lovely couple really made us feel welcomed from the personal, hand-written note and cookies on the kitchen table when we arrived to the well-chosen bathroom amenities (especially the eucalyptus makeup wipes!). There is nothing like making your coffee and wandering out to the front porch to sip it while overlooking the perfusion of plants in the front yard and admiring the gristmill across the road which is operational thanks to the owner Ken and which powers the home itself through turbines or strolling and visiting with the PEACOCKS! OMG! Loved this little family whom had just had their baby chick two weeks prior! I got tons of pics of them while there! If you have the chance, chat with Diana and Ken about the homes history (which you will not regret!) and you will find out such things as the first part was built in the early 1800's and the 2nd half in 1850! And you will see the Amish pass by which is charming!
