Great place to stay
This place was completely Awesome The location was perfect. We loved it. So close to the downtown area, which was full of shops and restaurants. Went to the French market, which I highly recommend (support the locals), great fresh product, and great people. The description fits the house to the tee. So charming and stacked with all amenities that you would need. This place was also super clean. My wife and I celebrated our 31st anniversary here and we cannot wait to come back.

Big Time at the Bungalow
Juanita's Bungalow was incredible. The home with antiques, pictures and decor from the 1920s took you back in time while offering modern amenities. Carroll thought of everything. If you forgot something, she most likely had it. The bottle of wine along with a few breakfast items in the fridge were unexpected but such a thoughtful touch. I loved sitting on the veranda in the mornings, drinking coffee and listening to the birds and visiting with the neighborhood cat. The location of the home was in a safe and quiet community and minutes from downtown Ocean Springs. Restaurants in OS that we recommend: Tom's Extreme Pizza, Maison De Lu and Evergreen(farm to table)

Owner is a Gulf Coast native. This house was her childhood home, and its restoration was the achievement of a dream of many years.

Why they chose this property

Lovers of architecture, historic buildings, and the arts will appreciate this home. If you have ever lived in an antique home, you will feel quite comfortable here. Situated near Ocean Springs and Biloxi, there are numerous opportunities for outdoor activities, night life, and superior cuisine.

What makes this property unique

This is an authentically and lovingly restored period historic home of 1923 vintage, and and it is the second home built in the Gulf Hills Community. You may be familiar with the virtues of an older home, such as good soundproofing, high ceilings, and cross-ventilation, which reduces reliance on central air, thanks to numerous windows and French doors, combining to provide a sense of spaciousness and ease. Recent updates include all new electrical wiring. This neighborhood is peaceful and quiet, the neighbors are friendly, and there is an active Neighborhood Watch group. The nearby Gulf Hills Hotel and Resort provides opportunities for golf and tennis.
