Although the house did appear to look like the images on line and the space was big enough for two families with 6 kids under 4, it was not a place i would stay again. As soon as we pulled in, it was clear the house was not well maintained. The grass/weeds were overgrown and t
This is a large home, perfect for family gatherings. Three floors, with a bedroom, bathroom, and lounging area on each level, gives families a space of their own. Its close proximity to Story Land and other areas of interest make it a perfect place to stay if that is a destination--literally around the corner! The inside was neat, clean and comfortable. The large wrap-around, second level deck is a nice place to sit at the end of the day to enjoy the setting sun and the view. Word of caution for families with children: The deck boards, and especially the railing, are in need of repair and pose a potential falling risk, therefore close supervision is necessary!! Being a dog friendly house is such a nice feature, and the woods behind the home provides an area to run and explore (the property itself does not have any lawn space). The dining area is nice, but the table is small and does not accommodate a large family. However, there is a nice table on the deck for eating, as well as stools at the counter in the kitchen area. For families with children, there are extra trundle beds on two floors--the top floor is very roomy! Hopefully, the host will be replacing the daybed in the basement room soon as the frame sags and is not comfortable, especially for adults. Overall, this is a nice place and we had a pleasant stay.
