Last getaway before the pandemic!
We were really happy with our selection of stay for our trip to the Mammoth Cave area. House was in great shape and met our needs well. Would definitely go back!
Xmas at the Lake
My family had a wonderful time at the lake. We were able to put up a small tree with our home made ornaments and made new ones for this year. Watch a couple of movies take a hike and play air hockey and pool. Best of all was fun in the hot tub and bunches of food. The house was perfect for four teenagers and my daughters and spouses A wonderful little get away
Weekend with families
We loved the property especially this time of the year. The house was perfect for 4 families. The kids LOVED the basement and hot tub. It was very comfortable and cozy. It was just as advertised and Kristen was great to work with. We went to Mammoth Cave, took a hike in Nolin State Park, watched lots of football and hit the Louisville Slugger Museum on the way home.
The property was very nice with plenty of room. Good access and enjoyed the outside fire pit. Hot tub was great. I did contact the property manager and indicated an outside light was out. Actually, 2 were out. I also indicated that the master bedroom mattress was wore out, Really bad. Got a sore back from it. Another mattress on the first was worn out as well. I asked for someone to come over and help turn the mattress over. I emailed and called several times. No mention of doing anything. Didn't repair of light and I was told the pillow top mattress can't be turned over. This is interesting because I have a pillow top mattress and it can be turned over. I explained that when you sat on the mattress it went down 6 inches. Absolutely no support at all. My son-in-law indicated he experienced the same thing on the one mattress in his room. I felt that the property manager dismissed my concern. I was trying to take an easy approach to "maybe" help by asking for the mattress to be turner over. Did't happen. Just left with the answer, you are the first to state this. My feelings are that other people just dealt with it. The building was built in 2003. I'm thinking, the mattresses were probably the same age.
I’m sorry that the beds were not of your liking. I made a trip down there this weekend to test out all the beds and I found them very comfortable, as me and my guests always have when we frequently stay at our house. I even asked the guests after your stay if they found any issues with the mattress and was told that they were comfortable, more soft than they were accustomed to, but comfortable beds and there was no sagging in the beds. I feel that it’s just a difference in opinion of soft versus firm mattresses. We are in the process of replacing the lights as they are LED and require an entire light replacement, not just a bulb. We will definitely take your concerns with the mattresses into consideration and appreciate your feedback.
This house was perfect for the 6 of us. Each couple had their own bedroom, on separate floors, with full bath. We enjoyed gathering on the deck for coffee each morning and again to relax with a glass of wine to watch the sunset!
