We enjoyed ourselves so much. It was a much needed family break together. The lodge was amazingly beautiful, so spacious and so cozy. We loved the easy access to the lake and especially the pool. Everyone on the property was friendly and beyond helpful. I loved that they gave us food to feed the goats. People they have a zebra!! I definitely recommend staying here.

Very happy with the stay. Cabin was comfortable, location is terrific, has a private boat ramp and dock. If we go back to Lake Tawakoni, we’ll definitely come back to this property.

My family's experience at this cabin was fantastic. Looking at the reviews, you'll see people say it's rustic, which it is. Yes, everything is not perfect, but it is clean and functional. Not to mention that the site manager, Trampus, is amazing. He will answer all your questions and respond quickly to every request. The area is lovely. We caught fish in the lake, fed baby goats, and saw wildlife everyday. This place is great.

Besutiful*relaxing lakeview cabinMr T Smithwas very helpful us getting into the correct cabin!!He was also very kind and helpful when our family members were ill with a virus for 5 out our 7 days.He offered to make an errand for us but thankfully we were prepared Despite5 days of rain as well we had a very enjoyable time& hope to return next year.

The pool is heated, and we’re always happy to adjust the temperature upon request.- The hot tub typically heats up within 30 minutes, and there's a temperature dial near the jets on the south wall that guests can use. Rustic but Comfortable

My family got comfortable after a few hours of exploring the cabin and area around. We came for a holiday weekend in the summer. It was Very hot with lots of bugs surrounding us, but the cabin was a safe haven escape from the real world. We “would definitely” get this rental again says my family.

Awesome lake view!

The cabin is very simple and rustic. Could have used a toaster, but the broiler worked just fine. A little more light in guest bathroom would be nice. But the view and the patio was why we wanted to stay here! Weather was so nice while we were there. We walked around the property and saw some beautiful deer. Really was perfect for our little visit! I would mention about the gate you have to go through; we weren't sure we were going the right way when we first got there. Thanks for the prompt responses for all of my questions!

Needs a good cleaning. Water not drinkable.

Refrigerator did not work and was filthy with leftover food previous renter, interior house was 94 degrees on arrival , water is not safe to drink have to use bottled water, kids got stung by wasps couldn’t use front porch because of them, house floor was not clean beds were very old and dirty looking sheets and bed spread, finally had to move to the old chapel house, it was updated and nice inside, except couch which was covered in dog hair, no ironing board, had to go buy more bottled water, we had to clean toilets, no washer or dryer, water had not been run in so long it smelled horrible to take a shower, water smell went away after running water for 20 minutes all faucets open. Refrigerator worked in chapel but again was full of old food. Master king bed was absolutely horrible it sagged so bad had to put pillows under middle of mattress, pool had a dead frog upon arrival and was not suitable for swimming and hot tub was extremely full of bugs , the worker there did clean the pool and hot tub. On a positive, the worker was extremely nice, the property its self had a beautiful view of the lake. By the way kids got bit three times on the fishing dock by wasps. We advised of the wasp problem and we’re left a bottle of wasp spray. Property has great potential and is beautiful outside just needs more TLC and could be wonderful vacation ranch.the property manager was a very nice lady.

Sorry to hear Greg and family were so displeased with their stay. We did try to accommodate, including by allowing them to move to another cabin. They arrived a couple of hours early to the first cabin, which explains some of their problems with it. As for the complaints about bugs, a frog in the pool, etc. — we are on 500 acres with no neighbors. There is wildlife of all kinds. A lot of people like that; some aren’t used to it. Hate to hear that anyone was stung by a wasp. We try to eradicate them. And as for the bed, we have never had any complaints. I guess the firmness or lack thereof was not to Greg’s taste, nor was the ranch in general. We always try to be avail to address any problems that people have while they are here, rather than after they have gone. I wish I would have heard some of this at the time. At any rate, we have noted those of Greg’s complaints that are within our control and will address.

Had a wonderful stay in the cottage. Each morning was filled with beautiful sunrises and sunsets. Enjoyed watching the zebras and deer on the property everyday. Will definitely start here again when given the opportunity.
