As evening settles over the garden, step out onto the back deck, where warm, soft globes and an overhead heater create a welcoming spot to unwind with a glass of wine. Alternatively, enjoy a drink beneath the stars or a quiet morning coffee on the front verandah, listening to birdsong and taking in the gentle country ambience that surrounds the cottage.
Whether you’re visiting to celebrate a wedding or special occasion, spending time with family, or simply craving a quiet escape from everyday life, Cottage on Dickson is a place to relax, reconnect, and feel genuinely cared for — a true home away from home in the heart of Bacchus Marsh.

About the host
Hosted by Tanya Fleming
I have always had a passion for home styling, design and renovation, after spending many years in the real estate industry. As an avid home magazine enthusiast, I love discovering new and inspiring design ideas. I also enjoy painting with pastels, and I previously owned my own fashion boutique—another creative chapter in my life's journey.
These passions have shaped the design and character of my cottage. Every detail, from the thoughtfully curated interiors to the warm and inviting atmosphere, reflects my love for beautiful spaces. I hope you’ll come and experience the charm, comfort, and personality that make this cottage feel like home.
I happily share this beautiful space with visitors to Bacchus Marsh in Regional Victoria. I hope you come and experience the warmth, joy, and true feeling of home she provides.
Why they chose this property
My husband and I moved to Bacchus Marsh in 2014 from a larger town. Although Bacchus Marsh has expanded considerably since our arrival, it still retains its charming country-town atmosphere.
Nature lovers will find plenty to explore in the area, including scenic walking tracks like Lerderderg Gorge, Werribee Gorge, and Long Forest Nature Conservation Reserve. The towering trees of Wombat Forest also beckon adventurers. For those up for a challenge, we recommend tackling the 1000 steps and lookout in Darley.
During the summer, strawberry picking at local farms, along with other fruits, has become a favorite pastime for visitors to Bacchus Marsh. The region is also home to a variety of wineries, picturesque country wedding venues, and some of the best country pubs—all within a convenient 30 to 45-minute drive!
What makes this property unique
The Cottage has been thoughtfully renovated, blending refined decor with charming furnishings to create a welcoming and elegant atmosphere. The cottage provides luxury linens on both beds, complemented by the softest, most comfortable mattress toppers and duvets for a restful night’s sleep. Guests are treated to complimentary amenities, including Al.ive Body hand wash, hand lotion, shampoo, and conditioner, ensuring a touch of indulgence throughout their stay.
As a host, my goal is to provide a 5-star, memorable experience—one that leaves guests with fond memories of their time at Cottage on Dickson and inspires them to return for another stay in the future.
