Very pretty location with everything we needed. We appreciate the cleanliness, the nice towels, well appointed kitchen and availability. I'd agree with other reviews that the upstairs bedroom needs a better layout. I hope to stay again!

We really appreciate your input on the furniture/headroom situation in the loft bedroom and have found an elegant solution to move things around enough to be comfortable for everyone.
Ellsworth Maine is one of our stops on our 2 Week Rd. trip through New England… We chose to spend an extra day in Maine, since the view views were so beautiful…. We absolutely loved this house…. We actually enjoyed the house so much. We went to the grocery store and cooked our first meal in two weeks there…. The holiday house was easy to find and plenty of places to explore... We have even been talking about going back in the summertime to be able to enjoy the water too and this is the perfect place to stay…

Thank you so much Julie. You have helped us close out a great season in fine style. We will look forward to hosting you next year and the canoe will be waiting for you from June 15-Sept 15. Swimming is nice and warm in July and August.
This is a wonderful place to stay. 30-40 minutes from Acadia NP but so far away from the Bar Harbor’s hustle and bustle. The cottage is clean and well equipped with cares. The only slight downside is the dining option in Ellsworth is not very exciting but Bar Harbor is close enough as well as all the roadside lobster pound/shack on Rt 3! Will definitely stay here again when we are visiting Acadia NP.

We are pleased to hear you enjoyed your visit, Shawn! Thank you so much for taking the time to share your valuable feedback with us. We passed your comments along to our local manager to review and we appreciate guests’ preferences as a means to continually improve. We look forward to hosting your next stay!
It had a beautiful view, the amenities were great, and the porch was FANTASTIC!! Great secluded little cabin close to Bar Harbor, Acadia National Park, and in Ellsworth.
Sleeping area upstairs needs some furniture rearranging. The person sleeping on the wall and sloped ceiling can hit there head in the evening getting up. Toilet area can also be an issue! Very nice cabin to stay in. May have an issue with ants found a number of dead ones.

From the Owner: **Thank you for your feedback. We’ll certainly take another look at optimizing the upstairs layout. The small “powder room” on the second floor was added as a convenience alongside the two full baths, designed to fit within the loft space without altering the roofline. While compact, it does serve its purpose. As for the ants, the cabin is nestled in the pine woods, and carpenter ants often explore for new housing after summer rains. To prevent them from moving in, we treat the exterior with Borax, a non-toxic solution for humans that takes a couple of days to be effective. Your observation actually reflects that the treatment is working as intended. Thanks again for staying with us and for sharing your thoughtful feedback; it truly helps us continue improving.**
Our family really enjoyed this cabin in the woods. It is well equipped with everything you need and even has a nice little dock on the lake. We were hoping to get out on the lake with our paddle boards but weather didn’t permit. It looked like there was a canoe available for quests, but we didn’t use it. The cabin is very close to town and Ellsworth has everything you would need. We enjoyed an evening of live music at Fogtown restaurant and Black Moon Public House. Love the cute shops as well and the LLBean outlet.so many things to do!
What a wonderful location and home! We had the most relaxing vacation! The home is close to everything, yet so quiet. We so enjoyed using the candy e and exploring the lake. Highly recommend.
We absolutely loved this little cabin. It was spotless and decorated so cute. There was an amazing amount of storage, so clothes and luggage were all put away. It was too cool while we were there to swim, but we enjoyed the view of the lake. We will definitely stay here again.
