Thank you guys for staying with us and for taking such great care of our place. You would never have known you travelled with 2 adorable cats 🐈 ! We would welcome you all back anytime. Safe travels ahead ❤️
Extremely friendly hosts who were very accommodating and lovely to deal with. It is pet friendly which we appreciated greatly (we brought our dog, which was essential to us booking). It was 100% clean enough to feel comfortable in, but don’t expect perfection due to allowing pets :) Bring a pair of slippers to wear inside and you’re good to go! I would stay here again - the hosts are so lovely and we had our first polar bear swim at the waters edge which was incredible!! Thank you Cindy for sharing your property with us!
We had a wonderful stay here as a family. Plenty of room to spread out. Wonderful deck to sit on and we also enjoyed the trail which was easily accessed from the property. Easy drive to Sooke for restaurants and amenities. Owner was wonderful to deal with.
Had a fabulous stay. Beautiful spot in the forest and next to the Galloping Goose Trail. Our hosts were really responsive before and during our trip. Definitely recommend!
Absolutely the best experience. From the first day we stepped onto the property Cindy was ready to support us and from there on we didn't second guess our vacation

Enjoyed our stay in this cozy cottage, it was perfect for our family of five. Location was great for biking the Galloping Goose trail and exploring the hikes and beaches nearby. Cindy went above and beyond as a hostess and replied quickly to any questions. Hoping to come back again!

Super cozy and peaceful cottage in the forest. You can see and hear birds right from the windows or patio, and look out at the trees from your bed. The Galloping Goose trail is right outside and many other nice hiking trails are nearby. Living room and kitchen are cozy, and it’s nice that a washing machine and dryer are available

A beautiful location. The driveway is tricky to find the 1st time but the host provided good instructions. The bed in the master bedroom is f8rm. The other beds are softer.

My dog, Henry, and I had the pleasure of staying at this wonderful cottage. Cindy went above and beyond to make our stay extra special. She even had toys, a bed and treats for Henry. The setting was exactly what I needed, peaceful, private and calm. There was a space for yoga so I could stretch after a long day of hiking. The Galloping Goose Trail is accessible right from the property. I highly recommend this location. Thank you Cindy for going the extra mile.

We are so very happy you and your pup enjoyed your time and the natural surroundings and hikes .
Take good care ❣️
The property is in the perfect location for those who want to explore beautiful Sooke wilderness. My granddaughter, daughter & I biked to Sooke from Vancouver. The house is right on the Galloping Goose Trail. We enjoyed the fact that we had 2 bathrooms, 3 bedrooms and that there was a wood burning stove and a well equipped kitchen. We will recommend your place to our friends and hope to return for another visit. The hosts are super nice as well.

Thank you very much Corinne. I am glad you enjoyed the space. We so admire what you ladies accomplished with the weather you endured. You are truly inspiring ladies. Hope to see you again. Take care.
I stayed here with my parents (70’s) and niece (22). My niece lives in Vancouver so this was a family visit to Vancouver Island to see her. We wanted to stay somewhere a little more quiet and secluded, not in Victoria. The location was perfect for us. Just outside the town of Sooke with easy access for shops and restaurants. And close to a lot of parks for hiking. It was also just a 45 minute drive to Victoria and Butchart Gardens, both of which we wanted to visit. The cottage was perfect for us. We each had our own bedroom. The kitchen was well stocked for cooking, we made breakfast each day and grilled local fish one night. The deck was great, we had happy hour out there and enjoyed the view! And the best bonus was there’s a path for walking literally out the back door.If you want something a little more nature focused and out of the hustle and bustle of the city, this is a perfect place to stay!!

Thank you so much for taking the time to review . We are so happy you enjoyed the space and location. Have an amazing rest of your summer! Cindy and Peter
Our group (two couples) really enjoyed our stay at this cabin. Check-in and communication with Cindy was a breeze. The cabin was comfortable for four adults, with two bathrooms and enough space to comfortably hang out in the living room together. The kitchen had basic equipment for cooking and a few essential pantry items like salt and oil. The view through the woods out to the water was beautiful. The hosts live on the property but we never bumped into each other. Location is great for exploring Sooke or any of the nearby parks, and the property is right on the Galloping Goose Trail. One downside to mention is the beds. The upstairs queen was extremely firm; as a back sleeper I didn't mind, but my partner is a side-sleeper and struggled to sleep the first night. He ended up sleeping in the bunk bed room for the rest of our stay, which he said was much more comfortable. Our friends stayed downstairs on the softer mattress, which they described as so soft it was almost concave and pushed them both into the middle of the bed. Some people might like that, but our friends weren't big fans! Just something to be aware of. We would all still happily stay here again and recommend it to others!

Thank you so much for the lovely review! So glad you enjoyed the cottage, the view, and the trail. Mattress Goldilocks situations are real — one too firm, one too soft… I’ll for sure be checking both to see if we can find that “just right” sweet spot. You’re welcome back anytime!
and we would love to have you!
