If you can believe it, the pictures do not do this place justice. It is an excellent property. Super welcoming and cozy with lots of space to accommodate everyone. My parents own a house down the lake so we mainly used this space for sleeping only but we had some teenagers with us and I didn't hear a thing while they stayed up late and I retreated to the upstairs area. Really, really great space. Thank you!!!

Day one, we had to evacuate the property due to mouse infestation with mouse droppings throughout kitchen drawers and food prep areas. CO/smoke detector was intermittently alarming- the hard wired alarm had been removed and left under the stairs in the basement. The washer was filled with previous tenants sheets and the dryer was filthy. Broken furniture. The beach area was a mile away down the main road. The kayaks were filthy including mouse droppings. Weeds and plants growing through chairs rendering them unuseable. There was no canoe and only 1 paddle board ( not 2) as described. We were unable to reach the host via VRBO but were through a cell #. When he contacted us he told us to vacate immediately due to the detector alarm. There were no instructions on how to use the hot tub, tv, air conditioning. It is an unhealthy and unsafe environment. Stay away.

Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We take every guest concern seriously, particularly those involving safety. When you contacted us regarding what was initially reported as a carbon monoxide alarm, we immediately instructed you to leave the home until the situation could be evaluated. Once it was clarified that the issue involved intermittent beeping rather than an active alarm, we investigated the matter. The home is equipped with properly installed smoke and carbon monoxide detectors, and we maintain our life safety systems accordingly. We also respectfully disagree with several statements in your review. The property is professionally serviced by a licensed pest control company on a monthly basis, and while an occasional mouse can occur in a cabin located in the Adirondacks, we did not find evidence supporting the characterization of the home as having a mouse infestation or being an unhealthy or unsafe environment. After your departure, we personally inspected the property, photographed the areas referenced in your concerns, and reviewed the photographs you submitted. We also provided Vrbo with our inspection photos, pest control records, and documentation regarding the home's life safety systems so they could independently review the situation. There were a few maintenance items that needed attention, including a damaged dresser drawer from a previous guest, and we addressed those promptly. We also note that the second paddleboard was stored in th
