West Dennis Vacation

This property was centrally located, offered many amenities and the owner was responsive to all requests. Would definitely consider staying there again when we next visit the Cape.

Beautiful home with impressive decor

We really enjoyed our stay, especially the peacefulness of the season and watching nature from the backyard. Being able to walk to Kream 'N Kone and go boating right from the backyard were things we truly appreciated. Nina was flexible and very responsive. Overall, a pleasant experience. We will definitely be back!

Beautiful place to stay

Excellent home for a visit to Cape Cod. Very good location, central to all places at Cape Cod. The house is clean and has three comfortable bedrooms. We especially loved the garden with two decks, a barbecue, and a fire pit, surrounded by beautiful trees and close to the river. Lots of comfortable chairs to sit in, in the sun or in the shadow. The local beach is at walking distance with warm water (much warmer than the more northern beaches), lovely to swim, also very suitable for kids.

Awesome Stay

Nina is a very welcoming hostess! The 3 bedrooms and bathrooms was very convenient for my family. Our 2 kids loved that the house was up against the river so they were able to crab/fish in the morning or after the beach. The beach is a 5 min drive. Walking distance to yummy ice cream or food. Kayak rentals are also around the corner. Would absolutely recommend this home!

So close to many things to do

We enjoyed getting away during this crazy time with our adult children. Went to the beach on the National Seashore several times, used our canoe and rented kayaks to check out the Swan River, and enjoyed a dinner out at Chapin's. One daughter brought an Eno hammock and strung it up in the lovely woods by the river. Very refreshing all in all.

A beautiful gem in West Dennis

I just loved this cute and cozy home in West Dennis. I stayed here last year for three weeks. It was in a great location and was recently remodeled and very neat and clean. I had some questions and the owner Nina was just so helpful and friendly. we fell in love with the serene backyard. I flew in from steamy Florida and we had such a nice comfortable three weeks here. I loved it so much I am going to return again this coming July for 2 weeks. I can't wait.

Donna is so sweat and her family and guests just are the perfect tenants for anyone's home. Yes, beautiful property and very convenient location. With back yard abuts the Swan River, you have a choice of boating or walk to the local ocean beach. We thankful for all our wonderful tenants to keep our rental going. House is very popular and booked fully by Spring season March each year. We also host many parties coming for wedding in Spring and Fall.

West Dennis getaway.

Great property in a great location with easy access to shops, activities and restaurants. We arrived to a very clean and easily accessible house. The location is right on Swan River with backyard access. For those with kayaks and paddle boards this place is perfect. Although on a main road we found the house quiet. Nina our host was very accommodating and was eager to help with any questions or concerns. Although the house may appear small, with 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms it’s easy to find privacy. Overall we enjoyed our stay and would recommend it.

Great Location and roomy

This was a great rental. The location is perfect for exploring Cape Cod. The house had plenty of room for our family of 4 adults and a toddler. It was very affordable and had many updates. The rental process was easy and the owner was very responsive. One thing to note is that the washer and dryer are new high efficiency appliances and require detergent that is HE. Didn't know this ahead of time and had to purchase some when we got there. We would recommend this rental for families who want to explore all parts of the Cape.

Comfortable and convenient

We were disappointed by too many additional charges which made the original price much higher. The AC, comfortable beds, three bathrooms and outdoor shower, fire pit and outdoor furniture were all appreciated. The access to the River was difficult to manage, but nice for experienced and strong kayakers.

I am sorry that government decide to have a big bite on every short term rental since July 2019 by collecting hefty lodging tax from every booking (like hotel stay). On top of that Homeaway added their booking fee to each booking as well. nThis fees are for each short term rental property and are not fee from us. We as a home owner is suffer from all these fees imposed to our listings. My rental price for this house have not changed for the past 5 years! We are all victim of these third party vulture.

The Best Bang for the Buck - A Sweat Home on Water!

Wonderful home in a great location abuts the Swan River. This cozy and modern house makes our stay comfortable. House was very clean and had everything we would need, beach chairs, beach towels, and laundry set, you name it. The cathedral ceiling master bedroom with beach theme decor made us feel relaxed immediately; the over sized deck overlook the tranquil back yard with seasonal water view is so peaceful. Highly recommend. Owner is very friendly and helpful. She always responded to our questions quickly. It's the best bang for the buck, Will be back.

Great accommodations

We are a family of 5 w/ 3 teenagers so having 3 bathrooms was quite the luxury! We also really loved the outdoor shower, close proximity to kayak on the Swan river to the beach, local beaches, shops, restaurants within walking/biking distance, and only about an hour drive to P-town! This was a very comfortable home with all of the amenities. 2 things I would suggest to the owners of the property: # 1 is change the address to the correct one on VRBO! It has it listed with the incorrect house number. #2 is update pictures of the outside of the house on VRBO.

Nice house, great time!

We have had wonderful time in the house during our short family reunion. There were no privacy issues for two adult couples whatsoever as a matter of fact it could easily accommodate another couple or few kids. All rooms are nicely designed, decorated and furnished. Whole house was recently renovated and totally matched our taste and expectation. All electronic equipment and kitchen appliances are new and working fine. The kitchen has it all: pots, pans, plates, cups, silverware, etc. Although we’ve came prepared, we never unpacked all our kitchen staff or grill tools. There were no issues following up or returning security deposit. We would highly recommend it to people who appreciate high quality accommodation and will definitely return.

Great Property! Great Vacation!

We stayed at this property the first week of August 2013. We only saw pictures of the property online. When we arrived, and opened the door, we were truly amazed. The house was exactly as pictured online. The kids loved it. We had to explore the rooms and bathrooms. There was something to discover around every corner. The place was very neat and very clean, and the central air worked great! The fenced in back yard with its multiple decks and fire pit was a perfect place to cook with guests after a long day at the beach! And beyond the cute picket fence, there is a path to the Swan River! Again, all as pictured and described in the rental listing! There's nothing better than a good rental to make a vacation complete! And this property did just that! We will be renting again next year.

What an amazing find- we loved our stay!!

It was such a pleasure to arrive! This cottage is beautifully decorated, and very nicely laid-out, with its three bedrooms and *three* bathrooms(!). My kids loved that there is cable TV. The backyard is a pleasure to hang out in, nice and private, with conservation land behind, (complete with chipmunks and bunnies), and a view of the Swan River. It was very convenient to have a washer/dryer in the unit, and a brand new kitchen. Actually, we never used the kitchen, since there are so many tasty restaurant to try in the area- I recommend the Red Cottage for breakfast, Chapin's Fish and Chips for dinner, and Sundae School for dessert! There are many nice beaches just minutes away- Mayflower Beach is pristine, and goes on forever at low tide. For exercise, the Cape Cod Rail Trail is fun to bike, Dennis has a nice big park to shoot baskets or play tennis, and there is mini golf everywhere! We would highly recommend this cottage- have a great time!

family stay on Swan River

We enjoyed the snug property on Swan River Rd. Distance to the beach (.8 miles) and proximity on the Swan river is great. We really wanted a place to stay that we could kayak right from the property and not have to haul the kayaks around every day. We could kayak to the beach about a mile up the river or to Swan pond the other direction. The kayak entrance is through the woods a bit and can be tricky to embark (steep riverbank water entrance) but we are capable kayakers with athletic teens so no issues. It was quiet on the deck at night and the outdoor shower is wonderful after a day on the river or beach. Property is clean, mattresses in good condition, and the house has all the basics for a stay, including all the puzzles we did could do in a week! The only thing I would change is update the check in instructions and overall communication with Home Away-now VRBO.-just merged as we were checking in. Thanks for a great stay on the Cape!! We hope to come again!

Well-Maintained Property

I stayed with my family at Nina's property for Labor Day weekend. When we arrived, it was clear that Nina had recently done some remodeling. Every room was tastefully updated, and the wood floors looked shiny-new. The house was very clean, as well. The backyard is large and fully fenced in. There is a gate that allows access to a very pretty small wooded area and a short path to the Swan River. There is a kayak and paddleboard rental store a short walk around the corner if you haven't brought your own. There is a beach .8 mile away according to our car. There are sidewalks to walk to the beach. We had small children with us, so we drove and paid the $20 parking fee at West Dennis Beach. The beach was beautiful, long, and clean. The long parking area is also a popular place for walking. Nina was very responsive and responsible. I had a few questions, and she got back to me right away via email. She also was very timely in refunding our deposit. All in all, we had a great visit!
