We were double booked at venues at Phillip and the Mews in the city. We were also charged twice by two different platforms. If we can’t speak to someone about this and receive a refund we will follow up with the ombudsman.

Hi Nick. We are truly sorry to hear about the booking confusion you experienced with the VRBO/Stayz platform. However, we feel this review is quite unfair to our property, as you never actually arrived or stayed at our home.
On the day of your check-in, our apartment was completely cleaned, prepared, and stocked with welcome amenities—including coffee, fruit, and refreshments—specifically for you and your family. As our message history shows, I reached out to you multiple times that day with a warm welcome, detailed check-in instructions, and parking information. Unfortunately, you never arrived, and we had no knowledge of any phone calls directing you to a different property.
Because you never cancelled your reservation, our home remained blocked for you the entire time, meaning we could not host anyone else. Regarding your financial concerns, all payments, fees, and receipts are managed entirely by VRBO, not the host. We take great pride in providing a wonderful experience for our guests, and it is a shame we didn't get to host you. We highly recommend contacting VRBO support directly to resolve your platform and billing issues. Nevis
