Unfortunately this stay fell below my expectations.
Although I was provided with check-in instructions, the host didn't mention that access to the unit was via a makeshift gravel pathway along the side of the house leading to the back entrance. I arrived around 12:30 a.m. and was left outside because I had no idea where I was supposed to enter. Including this information in the check-in instructions would have prevented this issue.
The cleanliness of the bathroom was also disappointing. There was a significant amount of hair of various lengths in the shower, on the shower curtain, and across the bathroom floor. It gave the impression that the bathroom had not been thoroughly cleaned between guests.
Lastly, the host let me know in advance that they had children and that there might be some minor noise, which I completely understood and was happy to accommodate. However, the noise level was far beyond what I expected. I was woken up early in the morning by loud screaming, running, jumping, and what sounded like a marble or other hard object repeatedly hitting the floor every few minutes.
Overall, there are some simple improvements that could make future guests' experiences much better, but based on my stay, I wouldn't choose to stay here.
I would suggest a bath mat in the shower along with individual shampoo and conditioner bottles, not the 5-1.
