Escape to the tranquility of Tom's Cottage, a self contained hideaway nestled in the gardens of the historic Wilgowrah Homestead. Set on a 480 acre working farm just 5 km from Mudgee it's a perfect base to explore the the Mudgee wine region or to just relax and unwind.

Sink into the plush king bed with quality linen and electric blanket for chilly nights, marvel at the starry Mudgee skies through the telescope or from around the fire pit—an unforgettable way to end your day.
If dining in, you’ll find a stylish, fully equipped kitchen with breakfast bar overlooking the countryside. Kitchen basics provided include plunger coffee, teas, full cream milk and olive oil to make your stay more comfortable.
In the morning, step onto the large north-facing deck to soak in peaceful views of Lawsons Creek and Mount Buckaroo. Or await the sunset on the sun loungers with your favourite beverage in the afternoon.
The indoor gas fireplace creates a cozy ambience without fuss or smoke, or enjoy year-round comfort with reverse-cycle air conditioning.
The cottage features an inviting open-plan layout, with a combined living and bedroom area and separate kitchen area and private bathroom.
Guests are welcome to explore the garden area around Tom’s Cottage, the paddocks, and to wander along Lawson’s Creek.
The fire pit, stocked with complimentary kindling and wood, offers a cozy spot for evenings (cooler months only).
There is a dedicated parking area with clear signage, and an off-leash dog area provided.
We also offer luggage storage for early arrivals or late departures, giving you the flexibility to make the most of your time in Mudgee.
Other Things to Note
Our friendly Jack Russell, Birch, may greet you during your stay. If preferred, she can be kept in her enclosure.
The fire pit is not available during summer months due to high bushfire risk.
