It was exactly what we expected, super cozy and cute. The sunroom is the best! I was there with a friend but can't wait to take my husband for a quiet weekend.

I’m pleased to hear you enjoyed the Pond Cabin and look forward to returning with your husband. The cabin was built by my family 49 years ago and we enjoy gathering there every Labor Day weekend since Glidden hosts a fair at Marion Park with fun activities. Hope to hear from you in the future.
My wife and I with our dog had a great stay at this cabin. It had all the great touches of a log cabin with everything we needed. We loved spending our mornings during coffee on the 4 season porch and spending time outside by the fire during the day. We saw a few deer around the property and one morning watched 2 deer drinking out of the pond. It’s a 25 minute drive to Copper Falls state park with nice hikes and 45 minute drive for Morgan Falls. Highly recommend both. All around exactly what we were looking for a 3 night quiet calm peaceful stay.

From the owner: "I’m so pleased you found the Pond Cabin exactly what you were looking for. The cabin and the grounds offer quiet, calm, and serenity. I hope you will return and pass the word about the Pond Canine."
Our experience was pretty good at the cabin at Glidden. The property was beautiful with the pond and all of the woods surrounding the cabin making you think you were all on your own. The space itself is older but for the most part well maintained. We very much enjoyed waking up every morning and sitting in the three season porch looking out onto the pond and the wildlife there. The welcome book said there was a trail around part of the pond but trees and debris kept us from being able to go much further than a few feet. They also had a fire pit with wood available, which we used for some relaxing night-time fires. The only issues we had were with some of the agedness of the cabin. The toilet would not always fill once flushed; you had to give it some time before someone else used it. The carpets laid down on the upstairs covered what looked like unfinished plywood and would move. The light switches were also a little confusing, even though most were labeled. Some would not turn on both a fan and a light so you would have to find another switch for the other part of the appliance. In addition, per the check-out instructions we were asked to vacuum, which we did. However, no one from the Property Management group seem to have checked the vacuum as it was full with what looked like the prior occupant(s) dirt/dog hair/etc which we felt obligated to empty and required putting our hand in the tube to pull all of the stuff out.
