Blue Fig Cottage - Highly recommend for a relaxing getaway. The place is absolutely beautiful! It's decorated to perfection! The beds are super comfortable with beautiful linen, lush pillows, and electric blankets, along with a fireplace to keep the place warm and cozy. It is such a wonderful place to unwind with stunning views looking over immaculate lawns and peaceful rainforest. When we arrived, we met our friendly host, Nicholas, who was just leaving after popping in to turn our lights on and start our fire, so everything was warm and welcoming on our arrival. Nicholas gave us a quick rundown on what to do at the property, along with surrounding places we could visit…. though, honestly, once you're there, you really won't want to leave! We enjoyed walking around the property and rainforest track. We also had visits from a couple of wallabies and kookaburras. The kitchen was well supplied for you to be able to cook, with oil, paper towels, tea, coffee, and milk. It is about 20 minutes or so from the nearest small store, so be prepared and bring your food supplies like we did. We did go out for lunch on Saturday, but I could have just as easily stayed looking at that beautiful scenery all day. There are some beautiful books to read, along with plenty of classic DVDs and games. It's honestly the getaway everyone needs to have. We definitely could have stayed longer and will be back again!
This property is amazing. Located in the National park and the accommodation is just beautiful. A great place to just relax and unwind. Fraser was a great host, who even had a welcoming fire for us. Thank you for ensuring our stay was special
The setting is beautiful and a great place to really unwind for a few days. The fire and marshmallows are a must and the bird life, amazing. Personally, I would love to see slightly more comfortable furniture so you can relax in the evenings instead of the wooden couch and seats.
We had an amazing, peaceful stay. The cottage was gorgeous. Sara started the log fire for us prior to our arrival so it was warm and cosy. The grounds were immaculate, such a beautiful view from the deck. I would highly recommend staying here. Just be mindful it’s too far to just pop out to the local shop so
bring all the food you need as
Just a great escape from Brisbane - only 2 hours away. Limited internet coverage, off the grid. Perfect place to get away from it all for a few days. Lots of great walks nearby and on the property itself. Can understand why it has been recommended.
A very special experience. Attention to detail was exceptional which a homely feel. Enjoyed the nature walks and the bird life. The owner greeted us on arrival and had made the fire ready to be enjoyed. On entry we were greeted with flowers on the table and all the comfort delights u would want for a relaxing getaway. Enjoyed the cottage at Night cap ridge and would highly recommend to anyone wanting to escape the busy city life.

More than just a weekend away
Fraser, Sara & Monty have created an awe inspiring retreat.
Not only were they accommodating with our booking prior to our arrival, the arrival and our stay over was faultless.
The cottage has such a quaint feeling it’s difficult not to fall in love with everything it offers.
We enjoyed the little oasis away from our hectic, technology obsessed lives for some much needed respite.
We recommend this stay for anyone looking to reset with nature and spend genuine in the company of their loved ones. We certainly intend to return when it’s next available to us.
Beautiful location deep in the Nightcap National Park. Plenty of birdlife and walking tracks. The gravel road was a surprise on first run to property however if you want that degree of seclusion it is worth it and we easily navigated it each day, even on a dark rainy night in a sedan. There is plenty to explore in the area. Each night we sat around the firepit listening to the sunset birdsong and star gazing. Appreciated the break from technology and, if needed, there was good reception at the front gate. Stayed seven nights during school holidays, would choose to stay longer outside that period. Well worth a visit, highly recommend.
What a beautiful property. Excellent attention to detail.
Exceptional attention to detail (including the fresh marmalade and coffee). Beautifully designed and thoughtfully catered for. Did not need a thing. The fire was on upon arrival and I’ve never seen so many stars. The fire pit with beef and Guinness pie was exceptional. The only downside was that the weekend was too short. Will definitely be back. Thank you Fraser and Sara for your thoughtfulness and care.

Why they chose this property
Nightcap Ridge allows you to slow down and escape from the world. Watching birds from your cottage, take a long bath or star gaze by your own private campfire. A perfect romantic holiday, or a catch-up with friends. With three accommodation options on-site, all separate and private from one another, there's also the option to hire all three for a larger group holiday.
What makes this property unique
Nightcap Ridge offers the rare opportunity to stay inside a world heritage-listed National Park. Nightcap National Park has numerous animals, birds and plants unique to the park itself. While we're deep in the bush, there's still plenty of space - our generous lawns are a perfect spot for picnics, ambles and star gazing.
