It was a wonderful experience. The cabin is so cozy, you feel right at home, or even better. There's so much to explore around. We loved the cabin and hope to return soon.

An Amazing Time in Camp Connell
Our work crew takes an annual guys’ trip every summer (13 years now), and we usually camp. This year, though, our project schedule pushed the trip to November. With unpredictable weather and less-than-ideal camping conditions, we decided to try a cabin for the first time and this place looked perfect. Surrounded by beautiful Calaveras County and featuring an awesome game room, it immediately caught our eye. That decision paid off on day one. It poured rain during the entire drive up and well into the night, and we were incredibly relieved to have a warm, comfortable place to unpack instead of setting up camp in a downpour. The full kitchen and cozy wood-burning stove made settling in easy, and the loft and game room quickly became the center of fun and friendly competition.Once the weather cleared, we enjoyed exactly what brought us to the Calaveras Big Trees area in the first place. There’s so much to do and explore, and our crew definitely got our fill of outdoor adventures. Coming back to the cabin each evening to relax was the perfect way to wrap up each day.At our peak, we had 12 people, and we fit comfortably. The main floor was spacious enough for everyone to hang out, and the loft and game room offered additional areas to spread out and enjoy. The deck spaces were great for relaxing, and the outdoor fire pit was a thoughtful bonus. With a group our size, the three full bathrooms were essential, and the downstairs bathroom and game room felt brand new.The owners do a great job taking care of the cabin and property. They were very friendly, responsive, and accommodating during our entire trip and we were definitely in good hands. Overall, our crew had an amazing time and this was easily one of our most memorable trips. In fact, it was such a great experience that I won’t be surprised if next year the crew decides to skip camping altogether and return to this cabin!
